Royal Secret part 7 - Royal Family Secrets

Three months passed without another peep from Talon and the trees outside has become bare in time for winter. The sun barely shines through the window as the king and his three months pregnant wife sleep comfortably in their bed in each others arms. The last three months have been hectic with his wife suffering from morning sickness and the hours spent looking for Talon, along with the spare time used to getting the room, which was once used for Amice when she was his bondwoman before the started, ready in time for the baby. 1

Alexis as usual these days wakes up first to watch his wife and be ready for when she wakes up. He also uses this time to talk to his unborn child until she wakes and smiles as he remembers the first time he had done it. It was when she was a month in and she was a sleep and he moved over to her and placed his hand on her stomach. He started to rub her stomach say, ‘Hello little one, this your daddy speaking,’ he continued until he hears his wife giggle. He laughs as he touches her stomach and waits for his wife to wake up. Little did he realise that what was happening outside will have an effect on future generations of his family. 2

Down below is Talon walks though the entrance gates of Whitney and on to the path to the castle. No took any notice of him until he reached the guards who instantly try to take him under arrest, but he fights them off running to the centre of the village. By this time Alexis had been told what was happen and made sure his wife is safe in the hospital wing with Agatha and two guards on the doorway. Alexis run all the way down with his sword in one hand to where Talon is standing with the guards around him. Talon shouts to him as he gets closer, ‘Where is your wife’s head that I had ordered?’ 3

Alexis ignores him as he signals the guard to follow him, but this wasn’t enough as Talon shouts, ‘Ladies and Gentleman can I have your attention,’ the villagers ignore him; ‘your beloved rulers have hidden a big secret from you for over a thousand years. To help them they have taken in your daughters and you what know what that secret is.’ The villagers continue to ignore him until he says, ‘Your beloved leaders are vampires.’ 4

The villagers stop and look at Talon then their King who turns around to face his friends, ‘Does it really matter if I am a vampire or not and besides my family did what they had to do to keep you lot safe,’ he says as he and his loyal guards take Talon to the castle. Every where he looks he sees the look of terror on his friend’s faces. They heard Talon chuckling all the way until they were inside. Alexis leads them down through the dungeons to a room that was built for special curriculum stands and was to be used for the first time in a long time. Alexis and the guards surround Talon smirking at them with their swords pointing at him and ask, ‘Do you know why we have kept this secret from Whitney?’5

Talon shakes his no as Alexis goes behind him, ‘We did it so that we can protect these people and take care of them with out them looking at us like we monsters. We did so we could protect them from monsters like’ 6

Talon looks at the furious King and asks, ‘Where is your wife?’ 7

Alexis leans in until his nose is an inch away from Talon, ‘safe from you Mr Talbotant,’ leans away from him. The guards push Talon to his knees as Alexis raises his sword and says, ‘I must say Talon the only thing stopping me from killing you was my father for what you did to my wife for all through years.’8

Talon looks at the young King, ‘You were not exactly nice to her in those days yourself.’9

‘Maybe that’s so, but even then I would never have harmed as I have always loved her and I still do,’ those were the last word that Talon heard as Alexis cuts off his head.10
