Star's Blue Sky: Almost Perfect (16)

Two Months Later1

"Sky! What are you doing?!" I asked as he lifted me into the air. 2

"If you're not careful, you," he winked at me. I slapped at his hands, blushing.3

"Sky!" I squeaked. 4

"Oh, come on, baby. You know you want me."5

"Sky, the only thing I want is to injure you right now," I said back, laughing.6

" Mmm, where?" he moaned.7

"You sick creep! Put me down!" I said squirming. He laughed and laid me down on my bed, before crawling on top of me. He stared into my eyes and his softened. 8

"Lana . . ." he sighed.9

"What's wrong Sky?" I asked putting my hand on his cheek. In the past two months, we had become amazing friends. Tyler and Dakota had girlfriends and we didn't talk as much. Blue was on his way to graduation soon and Dylan was getting skipped up to go to college with his brother. Dad got a promotion. Life was perfect. Except . . . I might just have the tiniest crush on Skylar. Really tiny, molecular. Okay, so I'm in love with him, but who wouldn't be?! He's so amazing. So sweet. So sexy.10

"I need to tell you something," Sky said nervously. I nodded telling him to continue. But he just stared at me and I only stared back, mesmerized by his beautiful, green and blue eyes.11

" I-" he was cut of by my mouth as I made the bravest move I ever had. This was my first kiss and I was letting my best friend, who probably didn't even like me, have it. I attempted to pull away when I realized what I'd just done. To my immense surprise, he put his hand on the back of my neck to keep me there. He must not have registered that it was me yet. But he went on and on, until there were butterflies and birds and bats in my stomach, and my lips felt like fire. My hands were in his black-brown hair as he pressed himself farther into me, pushing me farther into the bed. He pulled away abruptly. 12

"Sorry, sorry, sorry! I know you don't like me like that. I just . . . love you," he said. I smiled brightly.13

"I love you too," I smiled up at him. My finger's were still knotted in his hair and I pulled him back down, for his lips to meet mine.
