Santa Clause is fine as long as you don't get carried away. Santa is a big fake!!!!! WHen you ask for something you can't buy how will he give it to you??? What if you asked for a mother? Would santa deliver a mother witha big red boe??? It's ok to have santa it's just when ppl get too carried away and Christmas is Jesus's brithday why should we give thanks to someone who doesn't do anything rather then someone who gave his everything???? I don't know who created Santa but he is not the hero of christmas he is bringing monet and as you sya what is Christmas without santa??? It's real if it's about God! and what is Christmas without God??? Just a holiday about presents!!!!!! Read the bible and you will get what I am saying!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm, well little people here might still belive in santa.
even though you do express good points, and i agree with most of them. especialy the mother part with a bow,
allthough i find it hard to belive a kid would ask for a new mom as a christmas gift. -
I was not asking for a comment about beliefs I was asking for a pretend fantasy story where Jesus Christ loves the Elves as much as he loves Humans. Just pretend. I know the difference between the two. Vampires and Werewolves are not real and neither is Harry Potter but I enjoy watching movies and reading books about them. You could post your comments below but for the contest enter a story!!! Jesus Christ is my Savior and I do not need to be preached to in order to be saved. Thank you for your concern

when I was a lot younger than I am now *being 21* I use to write Santa so many letters begging him to make my Dad healthy again. When my Dad took sick it changed everything. We went from upper middle class to lower class, we went into poverty housing, all sorts of bad things happened. Anyways, that is hwy I stopped believing in Santa, because he couldn't make my Dad any better. But than again, I also use to ask God for the same thing, and he never made my Dad better eather, but I still believe in him. I guess there si more proof he exists than Santa. Oh well, anyways, good luck in the contest

You don't seem to have understood my contest. I am not asking for someone to choose between the two. I know santa is not real justy like I know fairies are not real but I write fantasy stories and I wanted a reason for them to be explained in a fantasy story where Christ also exists. I guess nobody wants my points.

Actually, it isn't a Christian holiday contrary to popular belief. It is actually a pagan holiday, the tree symbolizing fertillity. It was an ancient Roman tradition that they super-imposed into Christianity during the Roman empire (which would be, of course, when Christianity really became popular).
The Santa Clause came later, as Saint Nicholas. He would actually have not worn a red suit, and he did exist (In Germany?). He gave gifts to poverish families because he had a lot of wealth. Add a couple hundred years, inspiration from companies like coca-cola who depicted a jolly old man in a red suit, and you get modern day Santa.
It actually isn't about Jesus at all, and worshiping the holiday, due to its pagan nature, is blasphemy.
However, your motives were in good stead. If you are to devote yourself to God, you must remember God first and foremost. If that means going to church over watching the Super Bowl and eating hot wings, then you do it. -

It really does not matter that it was a pagan holiday to begin with , so was Easter. They were co-opted by the Catholic church to try to get the pagans on board. But now in our day those are considered Christian Holidays. There is so much symbolism in those two holidays that it would fill pages to describe them. I do not even believe Jesus was born in the winter anyway he was born in the Spring. At Easter in fact. I just want somebody to please give me a pretend theory about why God might allow such a world of magic to exist! can't anyone think up a story for me!
I feel sad.

Well you can go to church and then watch the superbowl I do it all the time!! you just can't be lazy and get up late lol!!!!! It's a lot of fun cuz ppl from church come to watch too!!!!!! Oh and Christmas was originally made to celebrate the birth of Jesus have you evr her the song "Happy birthday Jesus I'm so glad it's christmas the cand;es and lights although they are bright but the real gift is you!" lol!!!!!!!

Well, I'd be careful what you say here since there is younger members here who still very well could believe in Santa.
My brother is nine and still does.
Why we've kept it going this long, I don't know.
I believe in Jesus, and Santa(to a point.)
My reasoning behind believing in Santa, isn't believing that he is a real person, but it was ALL parts of our childhood a point. We left him out cookies, we tried to sneak out and catch him but just never could, and we've seen the guy in the malls and nearly peed ourselves over it.
Santa is like the cookie monster. You just can't get rid of him completely.

Hahalol I never believed in Santa I just couldn't it seemed so unreal to me lol! When I left cookies for him one night just for show I got bored of acting like a cared and ate all the cookies i was a chunky kid I'll tell you that lol!!!!!! Since there are younger maybe I should put this story on Adult!!!!!!!
