Why am I so young? Chapter 2

Georgianna choked when she saw Sir Robert and the other knights stand at her entry. She took her place on the west side of her father as her mother took the east. 11

"My brave knights, feast and sit in comfort. For we have brought victory to our kingdom!" King Laurence raised his sword, and the other knights did as well. The men started feasting, laughing and telling stories of the great land they had travled apon.22

Georgianna looked beautiful although she thought of herself as a weed in a flower garden. She could never think herself as beautiful as people told her she was.33

"Will you Lady Georgianna?" Georgianna's head snapped up. "I beg parden Sir Arthur" Georgianna had missed the entire conversation, for her mind sunk down into her heart. 44

"Will you not be at the jousting tournament My Lady?" Sir Arthur looked around at the men with a wide smile under his brown beard. 55

A sweet gentle smile curved on Georgianna's lips. "I would be honored Sir Arthur" She tilted her head. The men cheered and the talking started once more. Georgianna chuckled a little at her father's knights. They we're so full of joy and life66

Robert noticed her humorouse mood and smiled at her. Georgianna's heart stopped. She smiled back at him then looked away, trying so hard not to let him see her rose red face. 77

How could this knight have captivated her so deeply. She had no way of escaping her emotions for him. He was handsome and his eyes we're like looking at a sunset, your sad because you know that you cannot stare forever. But what would he see in her? How could such a perfect knight want to waist his time on an ugly princess of her age? THat's just it he wouldn't and he wont. Those words hurt Georgianna deeply. They were so true and she couldn't deny them. But there was always something deep in her heart that heald hope...a wonderfull yet dangerouse thing.88

Georgianna looked up to find Robert staring at her but he quickly looked away. Was he starring at her or her father beside her? These little things gave hope but hurt. 99

Georgianna took a sip of her wine trying to keep her thoughts away. "Lady Georgianna do you think it possible a man of my age could enter a jousting tournament of such high aprenteses?" Robert gave her smile trying to keep her in the conversation. 'A man of his age'? He wasn't a man was he? "The competetion will be great but the task ahead of you is not near is strong as the power behind you. I believe you can for I do not doubt your determination Sir Robert" Georgianna took in a deep breath after those words and got a smile from her father. 1010

Robert showed his teeth at her remark. What was he thinking of her? Just as a sister he kept repeating to himself. he turned and cought Arthur starring at him. 1111

It was too much for Georgianna. Robert was pulling at her heart without even knowing. She had to leave. Quickly getting to her feet she bowed as the knights stood. "I fear it is late and I need rest. Thank you all for your effert and I'm happy for your victorious battle" Georgianna turned and went to the door. There the servents opened the door and she made her escape. When the doors closed behind her she leaned against the stone wall. He heart was in her throat.1212

Robert watched as Georgianna left so gracefully from the room. He lowered his head. He wasn't disapointed...was he? Dinner passed and eveyrone had retired. Robert watched the fire intensly that night. His short blond hair almost reflecting the flames. His green eyes searched the fire. His mind was rapped around Georgianna's words. 'The task ahead of you is not near as strong at the power behind you' 113

Robert shook his head. SHe was a little girl four years from ten and yet for years from him. Robert shook his head trying to free the image of her from his mind...but how could he? Her beautiful long curly black-brown hair and her captivating not hazle but strange brown eyes, to bright to be brown but to soft to be hazle. Her curved lips and her brilliant smile. She wasn't those short young pedlers you saw in the market...no she was tall and elegant. And her voice, the angels themselves must take lessons. 214

Robert awoke from his daydream as Sir Arthur opened the door. Sir Arthur had something to him, he was the man you wanted to look up too. His masculant body sat by Robert. 315

"Somethin's bothrin you boy" Arthur took out a knife and began to carve into a chunk of wood.416

"I'm just tired Arthur" Robert let his head rest in his hands. Arthur patted Roberts back. "Get some rest lad you'll need all the inergy for jousting practice tomorrow" Arthur smiled a handsome smile at that. Robert stared for a moment taking in Arhtur's words. "Well blind King Laurence himself, I'm jousting?" 517

"That you are son. Now get some rest" Arthur stood and stretched his back. "Hale, hale the king of the seas..." Arthur sung as he was leaving. Robert chuckled and leaned against bale of hay. He closed his eyes and tryed to make his way through what it seemed to be a sleepless night.618

Georgianna laid in the mittle of her bed and stared at her painted cieling. The face of Robert son of Richard still haunted her. The way he looked at her at the table made her melt. 'Stop it Georgianna, he would have looked at anyone who was sitting there' Would he? To many questions and to little answers. Georgianna closed her eyes trying to forget everything that happened at the table, but how could she? The thoughts were clinging to her like bees to hunny. Georgianna tried to sleep but she kept twisting and turning. Was there no cure other then his heart? At that moment Georgianna new what she must do. She would have to avoid him. She would have to cancle anythig that envolved her being around him. If she couldn't have him she wouldn't see him. "Why am I so young? Why am I so young? Why am I so young?" She wouldn't stop repeating. Later that night Georgianna drowned in her emotions and eventually fell asleep. 19

He road fastly through the hills. He had to get there. Thousands of lives depended on him. He breathed hard his black horse moving as fast as the wind. Moving through trees and through rivers until he finaly reached it. King Laurence's castle. Now all that was left was to get King Laurence the message.120

"Knights, fellow brothers in arm" King Laurance looked around at his coragious knights. "It cuts me deeply to tell you that our victory was of fault. The Galai's army are stronger then what we hold here"221

Arthur stood "What now my King?" 322

"You knights will escort my family to Tonalai" 423

"And what of you my lord?" Terence stood and looked at his king.524

"I will remain here and fight with my people. My life is my family that is why I ask this of you" 625

"My king I will stay and fight by your side" Arthur raised his sword. 726

"As will I" Robert stood to his feet. 827

The other knights stood to their feet. "My knights please. If I die we will one day meet again in heaven or I will stand before you in victory" Laurence looked at his men then for a minute or two no words, there didn't have to be. For the look Laurence gave Arthur was like no other. Laurance left the men to there thoughts.928

"I will not leave him here to die!" Christian slamed his fist on the table.1029

"King Laurance said his family was his life, we will do as he requested and escort his family to Tonalai" Arthur looked at his knights for any protest.1130

"I will lay my life on the line for Laurance and his family. I would die before fail my king" Moved and stood beside Arthur.1231

"I am with you" Arthur patted Roberts back then left the room. Arthurs friend was choosing death over life...1332

"Father please come with us and forget we ever lived here!" Georgianna was in tears. "Georgianna I care for my people and as a good king should as a good man should I will stay and fight with them" King Laurance hugged his crying daughter. "Father please" She said softly in his arms. "When do we leave?" Questioned Queen Sara. "In the morn. I love both of you and I pray to God that we meet together again" Laurance kissed Sara's forhead. Sara's eyes filled with tears before she ran out of the room. Laurance lowered his head. "Philip will accompany you and your mother be safe my darling" Laurance left the room angry and sad. Only to leave Georgianna standing there in tears. "Why God? why do you seperate my mother and father? Why do you bring such sadness?" 1433

"Are you ready m'lady?" Philip questioned his queen while helping her in the carrage. The twelve knights stood in a line infront of the carrage watching them and there suroundings. "Yes but I know not where Georgianna is"1534

"I will find her for you m'lady"1635

"No" Robert broke the line and dismounted his horse. "I will find lady Georgianna" Philip stomach twisted with jelousy. "Thank you Sir Robert" Sara nodded in aproval. 1736

Georgianna was in the garden taking one last look at her rose garden, at her home. She took in a deep breath savering the last time she would smell the pine tree. Her father was most likely to die and she was fleeing. Georgianna squeezed the rose in her hand not caring that the thorns were digging in her flesh. "Father..." she said quietly. "father..." The one who showed her everything. He was going to die. 1837

"Lady Georgianna" Robert called. She turned to him as pale as the moon. "Are you alright?" 1938

A tear tringled down her cheek. "Father..." Before Georgianna hit the ground Robert rushed over and caught her. "Georgianna" Her eyes looked up at him and she touched his face. A mucsle jerked in his jaw. He couldn't describe the passion he felt for her at that moment. He put his arm under her legs then scooped her up then began to walk back to the carrage. 2039

"Georgianna what happened?" Sara jumped out of the carrage and ran to her daughter. While Philip watched in shock "She fainted but I think she'll be ok" Sara stroked Georgianna's hair "Set her in the carrage" Sara motioned Robert to place her gently inside. When he released her from his arms disapointment filled him. It felt so great to hold her but so wrong. Queen Sara kissed Robert on the cheek. "Thank you, Sir Robert. Philip will you assist me?" Philip helped Sara in the carrage but his eyes were on Georgianna. "My Lady if there is anything I can do please do not hesitate to ask" Sara smiled at Philip but Robert just frowned. He didn't like the way Philip looked at Georgianna. But why? Any brother would do that for his sister wouldn't he? He shook his head.2140

Laurence kissed Georgianna on the forhead then turned to his wife then kissed her softly on the lips. "We will meet again my love" Laurence waved the coach off. Sara watched as her husband was growing farther and farther away. One tear came, one tear of humense pain. Six knights followed behind. It was going to be a long journy.
