I was running down a dark hallway. I heard heavy footsteps rushing towards me. There was a dead-end in front of me: the entire football team. I knew them all by name: Daniel, Erin, Jason, Zack, Erik, Chase, Jack, Jake, Derek, and Aiden. I heard the footsteps cease behind me. I turned around slowly and faced Zeus, his face outraged and red with exertion. I whipped around and punched Derek in the stomach and went for his face. He caught my hand in and iron grip. I went for Jake this time and kicked him in his nuts, then used my free hand to slam his head to the floor. I used Derek's iron grip to lift myself up towards his shoulders. I pounded his head until he let go and slumped to the floor. Erik and Chase were next. I jumped and kicked Erik's face. He gripped his face in pain and seethed.5

"You bitch!"6

He lunged for me but, I moved out of the way and he slammed into Zeus. Zeus fell to the floor. 7

"What are you doing?" he said pushing Erik.8

I took a breath. Chase was the second strongest of the team. Before I could take a step Aiden and Erin grabbed my arms and brought me towards Zeus. I kicked my legs out in frustration, failing to hurt them at all. They threw me to the floor in front of him. 9

"Look at me." he said.10

I kept my head bowed to the floor.11

"I said Look at me, *damn it!" I stayed in that position.12

He lifted me up by my hair and slammed me into the wall.13

"I warned you not to say anything."14

He started to wrap his hands around my neck and led me to the mirror. I didn't dare look at my reflection.15

"You see your pretty face? When I'm through it won't be pretty anymore." I hesitantly looked up.
"No."
"I warned you. And you still told. What, you thought I was bluffing?" he said with a mocking face.
"I didn't do it."
"So you told someone else!" he yelled with rage.
"No, that's- that's not it."
"So what is it then?" His face was so close to my face I could feel him breathing on my neck. His hands tightened. I looked up in alarm. I shouldn't piss him off. So I decided to lie.
"A teacher caught me going out of your dorm, basically naked, so that's why. You ripped my clothes off. Blame yourself." I said smugly.
"Oh really?" he countered. "Then why did they do it today, why not that very day?" 16

I flinched. *Damn it. He saw through it!17

"I-."
"Don't have an answer?" he finished. "You really have guts girl."
"What are we, four?"
"Don't tempt me, *bitch! I was going to be nice but I guess not." he growled in my ear.18

He  threw me towards the football team. 19

"Get her out of my sight."
"Yes sir!" They answered.20

Aiden and Chase, the strongest players besides Zeus, held me there while Zach had his hands placed on my neck, tightening them everytime I struggled. His hands completely wrapping around my neck. I managed to elbow Aiden in the chest and then swung around to hit Zach. 21

"Get your filthy hands off of me!" I yelled as I made contact with his head.22

He let go and I ran like *hell. I unfortunately ran right into Zeus. He slammed me into the wall and tightened his grip on my petite neck and kept getting tighter. I struggled to breathe. 23

"Beg for your life and I might let you go."
"Never you piece of *shit!" I yelled.24

He slammed me into the wall again. I gasped in pain. He placed a meaty hand on my head and another on my chin. Oh My God. He's going to snap my neck! No!

"No!" I screamed. My hands flying up to my throat in shock.25

Adrian ran in.26

"Holy *shit, Aphrodite! What happened?"
"Just a bad dream." I said lowering my hands to my sides.27

Her eyes locked onto my neck and they went wide.28

"What?" I snapped.
"What did you do?" she said shakily.
"Nothing!" I said, flinging my covers off my body and walking towards my mirror. "What are you babbling ab-" I said my eyes going wide as I focused on my neck.29

There were ugly purple bruises in the shape of fingers around my neck. Had that really happened? I figured it was just a dream but these marks... They prove it all. I've been asleep in my room, there's no *fucking way that could've happened. 30

"Calm down, Aphrodite." Adrian said. "Take a deep breath." I exhaled sharply.
"Are you okay?" she breathed.
"I don't know. Just don't tell anyone except Amber."
"Okay but *shit! Did someone get in here?"
"If they did, I don't know how. The only ones who have a key are you and me. Oh and of course Mrs. Lynn has a master key."
"I thought if you were a legacy you got a skeleton key to every room." she said, her eyes going wide in realization. We gasped.
"How many legacies are in this school?" she asked.
"40 that I know of."
"How many would do that to you?"
"5 that don't like me. That I know of at least."
"Who?"
"As much as I hate to admit it, Athena's legacy is huge. Even bigger than my 15."
"Damn*." she said.
"Irene may be a huge dork but she's a legacy. Ava's a legacy and she doesn't like me. Zeus is a legacy almost as big as Athena's. We had a bit of confrontation. And Hades is against me because of Zeus." I said, hoping she wouldn't ask me about the confrontation.
"Now Athena doesn't hate you enough to strangle you and she doesn't even know she's a legacy."
"True." I said smirking at this little detail.
"Irene." she said with disgust. "Just might be that crazy. Zeus know his legacy status and likes to flant it."
"So who do you think it is?" I pressed, hoping she wouldn't come back to the Zeus confrontation thing.
"Oh wait, there's Hades. And he's definitely crazy enough to do that."
"So who?" I pressed to get it over with.
"We don't have enough information as of now. So we'll ask around, reconoiter and keep a close eye on all of the suspects."
"Kay." I breathed.
"Just calm down, get yourself together and we will figure this out."
"You'd be surprised at just how well Aerin can hide secrets for a legacy." I muttered.
"What do you mean?"
"They won't suspend a legacy, let alone expel them."
"One legacy, attempted murder." she said.
"They won't. They won't expel a legacy no matter what the circumstances are. They don't want to lose their donations." My parents gave 10 million dollars to the school every year. I shook my head. "Especially if it's Zeus, they won't do it. His parents give a billion dollars to the school every year!"
"Listen to me." she said grabbing my shoulders and shaking me. "We'll find them and get them expelled if it's the last thing we do. And it's three legacies again one." she said with determination.
"Not if it Zues.: I repeated. "His legacy is larger then yours, mine, and Amber's put together. We can't win this battle unless we get a bigger legacy than him. And that's Athena, she doesn't like me."
"You're wrong. We'll get him expelled. And Athena hates Zeus more, from what I've heard."
"And if I tell, and he figures out. He'll make my life a living *hell! I can't have that. I can't get expelled. My life will be ruined. And if he's wants it, he can get it. That scares me. I can't have that hap-."
"Stop it!" Adrian said as she slapped me. "He won't do *shit to you! I'll make sure of it." she said fiercely.
"He'll kill me." I whispered.
"No he won't." she said firmly. "Now come on we need to get to class."31

I slowly got up and walked towards my closet. I picked out my favorite outfit. An Armani flowy zebra print top with Guess skinny jeans and Versace pink and black zebra print flats. I put my hair up into a thick high ponytail and curled it. We met up with Amber after her freak out, we filled her in. 32

"Let find this son of a *bitch!" Amber yelled.
"No "fucking way he's getting out of this one." Adrian said.
"We'll catch this mother*fucker if it's the last thing we do." Amber said as Tyler walked up.
"Catch who?"
"No one." she said.33

He cut us a questioning look. 34

"What?" I snapped.
"You're hiding something."
"No we're not, baby." she said when we walked into first period.35

She stepped up and pecked him on the lips. As she started to step down, he pulled her towards him, grabbing her waist, and kissed multiple times. Then in the middle of a kiss, she slapped him. What's going on here? Then he pushed her. Her hand went for his throat, he quickly grabbed her wrist and pinned her to the ground.36

"What the *fuck, Ty?"37

I pulled him off of her and then the *fucker started coming after me. What the *hell? You don't touch me. Adrian helped Amber up and she started going after him agian! What the *fuck? Then suddenly everyone started fighting. Even Apollo and Athena. Ava was just sitting there, watching all of it unfold. Then two girls with red hair walked in with the cutest green Vera Wang dresses. When they waved their hands, everyone stopped fighting. Except for Amber and Tyler.38

"We're through, *bitch!"
"Obviously!"
"You're done here," I said stepping in between him and Amber. "Leave!"
"Whatever, bitch!"39

This was the plan for Irene, but it wasn't supposed to be this early or that drastic. But hey, whatever works works. I cut my eyes in Ava's direction. She was yelling at one of the red haired chicks. She pointed towards me and I saw a line being drawn. The one with her hair up with us, the one with her hair down Athena. I was right, she started walking towards me.40

"Hi." she said with a hint of an Irish accent.
"Who are you?" I said.
"Audrina Carlton."
"So what happened with you and uh her?" I said glancing in Ava's direction.
"Oh I was being a *bitch to her because that's how I am, apparently she doesn't like *bitches but whatever." she said dismissively.
"Would you excuse us for a sec?"
"Sure."41

I turned towards them. 42

"So what do you guys think? Should we let her in?"
"Yeah, I recognize her from the latest issue of Seventeen, she was on the cover along with her twin sister but her sister chosen her side." Amber whispered.
"She's a really famous model, her sister and her were discovered when they were 14 because they were so gorgeous. They were immeadiately shot up to the supermodel world."
"I heard they were taking a break to go to school, I guess gossip was right for once."
"I say she's in."
"Agreed!" they trilled.
"So tell me more about your sister, what's her name?"
"Brianna."
"So you are the models!" Adrian said.
"Yeah. It's not that big a deal."
"Not a big deal?" Amber said. "You guys are supermodels."
"You have a sapphire ring around your eyes, I didn't see that in your most recent issue." Adrian said, changing the subject.
"Oh um.. contacts."
"Oh well it's pretty."
"Thanks." she said blushing.
"No problem."
"Well, do you want to tell me, who my sister went to?"
"Athena, Briseis, and Ava."
"Ava was the one you *bitched out." I said.
"Athena's the hugest legacy that walks this campus." Adrian said with a scowl.
"Briseis is very uh... tempermental, I guess you could say."
"And Ava is in love with..." I trailed off. She probably didn't want me to tell anyone so I wouldn't. Wait. What the?
"In love with who?" Amber asked interupting my thoughts.
"No one. Just something I blurted from out of the blue." I lied. "So Audrina, what's it like to be a supermodel?" I gushed.
"Not all you think it is. You probably think it's all glamourous and all fun all the time, well it's not. This school thing was an excuse for Brianna and me to get out of it."
"What do you mean by that?" Adrian said tilting her head.
"We were..." she trailed off. "Forced to have sex...with the clients."43

We gasped.44

"You've got to be kidding me." I said while Adrian said,
"Ohmigod." while Amber said.
"Why?" All at the same time.
"The motto of our agent is 'Satisfaction guarantees a job'. It's so disgusting. So everytime we got a callback to ensure we got a job we had to do what they wanted."
"Why didn't you get out of it?"
"Our parents signed a contract saying that we cannot leave the agency unless at least 3 years have passed."
"Ohmigod, did you tell them what was happening?" Amber asked.
"No, they said if we did, we'd be kicked out if we told anyone and we needed the money."
"Which agency?" Adrian asked
"Satisfaction 101."
"Starting tomorrow they're out of business." I said.
"Wh-what?"
"I'm sueing those *bastards. Who all is in the agency, we'll need them to speak for us."
"Uh I'll give you their numbers, their in my phone." She handed it to me.
"Every single number in here?"
"No just the ones who are under business."45

I quickly jotted them all down and look at the list. Holy *shit. There were about 100 numbers!46

"Geez, they have a bunch of people."
"Yeah, they do." she said her face darkening.
"Amber, Adrian, put aside what happened this morning, start calling all these people, and ask them to testify. I'll work on getting my dad to sue them. I can get Ozera group involved if I have to."
"Ozera? You're associated with them?"
"Yeah, I'm dating their son, Hephaestus."
"Ohmigod!" Audrina said.
"Well we will get right to work."
"Ok. Now Audrina, I need you to write down all the 'clients' you've had to 'work' for."
"They are in my phone too." She tossed it to me. 47

I wrote their names and numbers and called Dad. He picked up after two short rings.48

"Hello? Malcolm here."
"Daddy."
"Oh yes Aphrodite what do you need?"
"I need you to put Satisfaction 101...out of business."
"Why?"
"They are scum who need to be obliterated off this Earth."
"Alright, I'll see what I can do. I make no promises."
"Thank you daddy!"
"Aphrodite." Mr. Forenze said. "Phone."
"*Shit. Oh, uh, I mean sure." I reluctantly handed him the phone.
"Early Morning Detention for 3 days."
"Early Morning? Are you kidding me?"
"No, I'm just saying that you have EMD for fun." He said sarcastically. 49

I sighed and blew my bangs out of my face. He walked back to his desk.50

"You can get your phone back after class." he said coldly.
"Ugh!"
"Would you like me to make it a week in EMD?"
"No sir, sorry sir." I said in my sweetly-sick voice.
"That's what I thought you said."
"*Asshole." I muttered under my breath.51

Athena and Ava were snickering at, no doubt, me but I didn't care. I just glared in their direction which made them laugh even more.52

"Girls, hush."
"Sorry, Mr. Forenze." We replied.
"Thank you. Now who would like to read the first paragraph?"
"Oh right, I forgot," I whispered to Audrina. "That's Athena, the one with jet black hair. That's Ava, the one with blonde hair, but you knew that. Briseis doesn't seem to be with them today."
"Oh I see."
"Girls, guess what?"
"What?" they asked.
"She gets to see the whole Irene thing."
"Oh my gosh you're right." Adrian said turning to Audrina.
"You are going to love the Irene thing." Amber gushed.
"What's the Irene thing?" she said interested.
"This *bitch who we are going to totally humiliate today."
"Ooh. Interesting. Can't wait to see that."
"You'll love it." I said.
"Good. I love a good show."53

We laughed.54

"Oh, thank you for volunteering, Aphrodite." Mr. Forenze said.
"I-."
"Read Section 3: The Cold War out loud."
"Uh..Pass...?"
"Uh.. No... Read it."
"The Cold War began 1945 and ended in 1991. Cold War confrontation began in Europe where the two superpowers' armies confronted each other after World War II. Each superpwer formed a European military alliance of the nations that it occupied or protected."
"Thank you. And you." He cut his gaze in Audrina's direction. "You won't be getting special treatment even if you are a legacy."
"Why thank you for noticing my legacy status. However if you were wise, you would also know I could get you fired."55

He paled. He cleared his throat and went on with his lecture. He dragged on and on about how the United States became the only super power. Blah blah. The whole morning just dragged by.56

At lunch they were serving filet mignon and/or caviar with mashed potatoes/baked potatoes and of course salad. I grabbed a salad and a bottle of Fuji water. I sat down beside Artemis. 57

"Hey."
"Hey. How's life been treating you?"
"*Shitty. Way too much drama in my life. You?"
"Just swell. I got dumped and I think it has something to do with my brother. Ugh, he's so protective of me, its so annoying. We may be twins, but he needs to learn to back off."
"Ooh, that's rough."58

She picked at her filet mignon and slowly sipped her water. Athena, Ava, and Briseis were walking towards us and were laughing.59

"Like OMG, he said that?" Athena said sitting down.
"Yup, no lie." Ava said.
"Ooh score!"
"Hey, where's Briseis?" I asked.
"Nurses office." Athena said dismissively.
"Why?"
"She had a massive headache and she collasped."
"Oh my god, is she okay?"
"Yeah, I think so."
"Why do you care?" Ava asked.
"What, a girl can care about someone?"
"Uh, you hate us, so know you wanna start being nice?"
"I never said I hated you!"
"You didn't have to! It was implied!"
"How?"
"Oh, don't play dumb!"
"I'm not, seriously, explain how I've implied it."
"You act like such a *bitch towards us!"
"I do not!" I said faking shock.
"Whatever, just don't."
"Don't what?"
"Aphrodite, it's starting." Adrian said. 60

Audrina sat down.61

"Watch it all unfold." I said.
"What are you going to do?" Athena asked.
"Just watch." I snapped.62

Tyler walked up to Irene as planned. From what Amber told me, he started making the moves on her after the fight had spread. We had some inside sources tell us that she was going to ask him out. Haha. It was so pitiful.63

"T-Tyler." she stuttered. "Would you...go on a d-d-d- date with me?"64

He cackled a loud laugh that echoed of the linoleum walls. The lunch room went silent.65

"Me, go out with you? Don't make me laugh. Do you really think that I'd know you at my level?"
"W-what?" her face full of shock.
"Are you deaf? I don't like you. It was all a plan to humiliate you in front of the school. Did you really think I'd actually flirt with someone who's an outcast at this school. Please. Don't flatter yourself. Besides I don't go for the easy type."66

There was a subjective Oh! around the lunch room. Irene fell to the floor in tears. I walked up there with Adrian and Amber.67

"Do you get it now?" I jeered. "You can't get away with messing with us."
"I got you loud and clear. Except all I know now is that you're just a cold heartless *bitch with no concern for anyone's feelings!"
"Excuse me?" I said getting in her face.
"You heard me. You know it's true. This mean front you put out is just that, a front. It's not just mean, it's pure evil. Do you not know how much pain you cause people in this school? Well open your eyes. Being a legacy won't save you from everything you know. If Athena decided she wanted you expelled. She could. And you know it."
I flinched. "You don't know anything. You little whore, don't look down on me. You don't know me, don't judge me."
"You don't know me either."
"Oh but I do. The only reason you're at this school is because you're a legacy. You're parents couldn't afford it, so they had to put you on scholorship, so you could come here. You wear those hideious clothes because you don't have enough money for anything else. Your mom and dad, don't even get me started on them."
"How do you know that?"
"A special disk given to me by request of my mom, seeing as she's an Aerin Academy alum."
"I don't understand."
"Of course you don't, your legacy isn't big enough for you to understand. Only the legacies with 12 years or more can recieve permission."
"Permission for what?"
"To get the special disk."
"Containing what?"
"Classified information little miss 3 year. Amber?"
"Yeah?"
"She's all yours."68

I plopped down in my seat and daintily popped a tomato into my mouth. I looked over at Audrina.69

"Wow, you weren't messing around when you said show."
"I never do. But watch it'll get better."
"How dare put your filthy hands on my boyfriend?" Amber shrieked. "You little slut!"
"From what I heard, he's not yours anymore."
"Well you heard wrong, get some new sources because he will always be mine." she slapped her.70

Irene fell to the floor with a smack clutching her cheek which was turning red. Amber ran towards her and punched her face. Irene put her hands up to block her face, a futile attempt because all Amber did was kick the crap out of her. She stood up and kicked her in the ribs. Irene gasped in pain, struggling to breathe. Amber raised her fist one more time. Athena grabbed it.71

"How pitiful, Amber. You prey on the weak just to save what little pride you have left. So leave with whatever dignity you have left and don't bother her again."
"Whatever." Amber didn't dare to go against Athena, she could have her out of here before she could rebel yell.72

Amber stalked off with hesitation. Athena helped Irene up and led her out of the cafeteria.73

"So you like the show?"
"Yeah." Audrina said. "That was awesome. Are you sure you won't get in trouble?"
"They wouldn't dare expel a legacy."
"Okay then."
"Being a legacy is so easy."
"Looks like we get it easy huh?" Adrian said.
"Looks like you do." Ava replied bitterly.
"You do too." Adrian piped up.
"You're a legacy, just the same as us." Amber said.
"Wait why were you guys talking about how Athena could get anyone expelled?"
"She's the biggest legacy. That's why everyone kisses her butt, except for me." I replied.
"Wow you're so low Aphrodite. Just because she's better than you, you think you have to bring her down to feel better?"
"No. I know I'm better."
"In what?"
"Class."
"OH. You think you have class? Try again."
"Money."
"Uh. No."
"How much money does Athena's family make anually?"
"10 billion. Haven't you heard of Van Alen?"
"She's a Van Alen?" Adrian said her eyes going wide. "You didn't mention that, Aphrodite."
"Well, its true. She's a prestigious Van Alen. Now Aphrodite. How much does your family make?"
"100 million."
"Hah! Not even close to Athena." Ava flipped her hair and walked off.
"Stupid *bitch." I muttered.
"You can't do anything to her. Athena will get you kicked out of here if you do." Adrian said.
"You think I don't know that? I'll find some other way. Or get someone else."
"Who?" Amber said.
"I'll find someone."
"Yo, Amber, can I talk to you for a second?" Ty asked.
"Sure." she said batting her eyelashes at him.74

After about 5 minutes, Amber came back in crying.75

"What happened?"
"The jerk dumped me!"
"Why?"
"He said I went too far with Irene today."
"Stupid *ass, he doesn't know what he's missing." Adrian said.
"Yeah! You'll find someone better in no time." Audrina agreed.76

After School
We went to the school's Baskin Robbins to discuss our plan. We went over everyone who was to testify. We decided to go shopping afterwards. We were in Wet Seal.77

"Ooh, isn't this cute?" Adrian said pulling out a pink orange and yellow blouse with light faded skinny jeans.
"Ah-dorable!" Amber gueshed.
"We have to try it on!" Audrina trilled.
"Can we have two double zero's and two zeros?" I said to the sales person.
"Of course, let me get the matching shoes as well. Would you like flats or heels?"
"3 pairs of flats and one pair of heels."
"What sizes?"
"7." Adrian said.
"8." Amber said
"8 1/2." Audrina said
"6." I said.
"I'll be right back."
"Thanks." I called out. "Hey you guys let's cause some trouble." I said.
"How?" Adrian said.
"Rookie." I said with a roll of my eyes as Audrina said,
"Amateur."
"You've done this before?" I asked.
"Of course." She said with a flip of her hair. She casually slipped diamond earrings into an unsuspecting bag. We watched the lady walk through the sensors and the alarms going off. The police officer approached the woman.
"I'm going to need to see your bag, ma'am."
"Fine, but you won't find anything."
"I'm going to need you to come with me to the station, ma'am." He said pulling out the earrings.
"Wha-? This is a mistake!"
"Just come with me, ma'am." He said gingerly touching her arm.
"Don't touch me." she said snatching her hand away.78

We broke out into laughter and went to the school's Starbucks. We got mochas: Chocolate for Adrian, Caramel for Amber, Vanilla for Audrina and French Vanilla for me. We nonchalantly sipped our drinks as we chatted about the days events.We were about to leave when Briseis and Tyler walked in. We watched them intensely. After a few minutes of conversation, Briseis grabbed her drink and ran. He ran after her with a grin on his face. Amber was digging her nails into her arm.79

"Amber. Amber!" I said. "Stop!" She was drawing blood.
"Holy *shit! Amber, what are you doing?" Adrian shreiked in alarm. "You can find so much better than that scum."
"Breathe." Audrina said calmly. "Stop, let go of your arm. He's *shit for you. Let go." she said as her eyes flashed sapphire.80

Amber let go and took a deep breath. There were imprintions of her nails in her arm. We quickly grabbed some napkins and put them on her arm.81

"Ohmigod! Amber, don't scare us like that." Adrian said.
"You okay?" I asked.82

She slowly nodded her head. We walked back to Montgomery, shopping bags in hand, when Ava ran towards us.83

"Slow your roll, Ava, what's the rush?" I asked.
"I'm not obligated to answer that, but since you're involved I'll tell you. You're a goddess, thats why you have a purple ring around your eyes. Audrina, you're a demi-goddess just like me, unfortuneately, that's why you have a sapphire ring."
"I know that, Ava." Audrina said. "Why do you think I said one of us?"
"How?"
"I was well informed before I came here unlike everyone else who is so oblivious to their powers."
"Oh, well I got to go find the rest."84

She scurried off.85

"Informed of what? Oblivious to their powers? What's going on?"
"At the dorm. But Adrian and Amber can't be in there."
"Got it. Guys?"
"Alright we'll start calling people."
"Thanks."86

We walked up to my dorm and we sat on the bed and started talking.87

"Well, in Aerin Academy, we have humans-."
"Obviously. What else could there be?" I cut off
"Well, there's you, Aphrodite, a goddess. One of thirteen. Then there's Ava, me and so many others in this school, that are Dem -Gods and Godesses."
"WHAT?!" I said incrediously.
"I know it sounds insane but you need to accept it, Aphrodite."
"There's nothing to accept!" I scoffed. "I'm not whatever you said I am."
"Yes, you are, we have a special way of knowing our kind. They have a ring of color around their eyes. Purple is a goddess. Green is a God. Sapphire is Demi Goddesses. Topaz is Demi - God. Look in the mirror for yourself."
"Okay, so that may be true, but that doesn't prove anything!"
"You find you have powers you can't explain."
"Well I have been rather persuasive lately."
"Have your dreams been about men you have had sex with killing you or trying to at least?"
"Yes. But that can't physically be true."
"But it does. If you want your powers to grow, you have to accept it."
"Ohmigod."
"Your powers don't manifest until all gods, demi gods, goddesses, and demi goddesses are here on this campus."
"But why?"
"This place is where they've gathered for generations to come."
"That's why all the gods and goddesses are the hugest legacies here."
