1
It was a cold, wet Thursday. A bunch of gypsies were travelling in the back of a van to Canterbury to pray for forgiveness. 2
Now all these gypsy’s had something to be forgiven for, some were thieves, some murderers and some were on the run.3
All these people had something in common; they had regret for what they had done.4
The journey was a long one, so they decided to tell each other stories.5
There were stories about love, hate, betrayal and discovery.6
The last gypsy to tell a story was an old woman who sat in the corner of the van away from everyone else.7
This woman was far from glamorous, she had grey hair growing out her ears and skin that stretched down toward her feet. She had a hunchback and wore a large purple poncho.8
“It’s your turn to tell a story” one gypsy said to the old woman “you’re the only one left”.9
“You want a story” croaked the old woman, “I’ll give you a story, a story to remember”.10
And she began to tell her story…11
She was beautiful, with auburn hair and eyes of emerald green, she had lovely long eyelashes and wore an innocent smile.12
Her name was Viworna and she was the most prettiest and popular girl at Grange Canterbury school. She was a flirt, all the guys wanted to be with her and all the girls wanted to be her. 13
As innocent as she seemed her personality was as sly as a fox and as cheeky as a monkey.14
One day Viworna was on her way home from school. She had three boys Sam, Mark and Tom following her. Sam was a chubby blonde boy who loved ice cream. Mark was a tall slim boy who was addicted to play stations and Tom was a good looking rich boy who was always ill. Even though they were nothing alike they still had one thing in common. Their love for Viworna.15
Viworna didn’t love any of them she just used them for their money. The boys even knew that however they were too in love to not stay away from her, they were addicted to her. Viworna turned around and smiled at the three boys.16
“So, Sammy, mark and Tommy what now?” smiled Viworna.17
“Viworna I brought you some chocolate, just for you!” sneezed Tom. Viworna gave a big smile as she took it. “Thank-you Tom. Tar!”18
Viworna walked away with attitude gobbling down the chocolates. She through them on t he floor and after she ate them and went home. She saw her dad outside talking to a business man dressed in a dark blue stripy uniform like her Dad. Viworna always thought they were like pyjamas, especially like her Dad’s p j’s. Viworna was a absolute angel to her Dad, that’s why she always gets what she wants. She’d ask for anything and everything. Viworna barely saw her Dad so she wouldn’t become a moan in his head, which was a good thing.19
However Viworna acted very differently to her little sister Kate, the bookworm and her mum Cathy. She acted that she was the Queen and they were her slaves. She did not clean up after herself. Cathy had to tidy her room almost everyday she was fed up with it.20
‘Hi Daddy’ Smiled Viworna like an angel a fake one though. Viworna was hoping for a hand to come out of his pocket because nearly every time they saw each other he’d get a big chocolate coin from behind her ears. ‘But no, not this time sweetie. ’Laughed Dad. What just happened thought Viworna. I’m supposed to get what I want. She was about to challenge her Dad for the first time but she heard a loud noise that she thought must be an elephant, but no it was her mother. ‘Viworna, are you there, come now!’21
Viworna knew exactly what was about to happen her mother, her mother was going to ask her why she cheated on her test and then she’s going to have a go on her and then its going to be a long hurting usual argument like it always were. And that’s exactly what happened.22
After dinner Viworna went upstairs to her tidy room and pulled out a secretive book from behind her bed. She started to write a poem about how she wanted to change but scared it would go wrong. She wrote a poem every night before she went to sleep. She told not nobody not even her lovingly daddy.23
People can be horrid but there is always something wonderful, unique, and extraordinary about every one. For Viworna it was poetry. A secret desire, a secret side of her.24
One day of Viworna’s average pessimistic life she decided that she hated her life. Because she found that nobody actually knew her. She was not an Angel, not an attitude bad girl and not a moany little monster. She barely knew herself. She pretended to be these people for such long time she forgot her real self and the only thing she had left that was special was her poetry book. She always kept it with herself and she always will forever she live.25
She decided to runaway in the dark night, feeling horrible and cold. She regrets what she had done badly. Suddenly she saw a dark figure coming towards her in a black suit not like her dads. It had a hood jacket and it was very big.26
She started to walk back towards her house even more scared. But this figure started coming closer and closer and ‘Ahh.’27
The figure grapped her and put duck tape around her mouth so she would not talk. You’re probably thinking what the man in the hoodie did to her. We’ll certainly not get a chocolate coin out from behind her ear.28
He kept her in silence for years. Asleep for years, a pill that would just make you think about anything and dream about everything. It lasted for 60 years. 60 whole years of her life gone. Her young age just gone with a pill. She started to make a poem what she goes through every day.29
Viworna 30
I feel worried and alone31
as I sit in the corner32
nothing to be or do im on my own33
my name is just Viworna.34
Viworna and nothing else35
I have no life or any water36
I don't know a word on any language37
I just know I’m a daughter.38
I just sit in the corner39
playing with a rat.40
I don't know how I got here41
I don't know you42
I want someone to help me43
I just haven't got a clue.44
I have lived in here for years45
in this little corner I shrink, not grow46
my face every day fills with tears47
I just sit and hug my toes.48
No one has helped me49
they haven't spared a thought50
nothing of life is see51
nothing of the sort.52
I’m just scared and alone53
my name is just Viworna54
and I’m always on my own55
just sitting in this corner.56
Viworna did not experience life but just dramatic things that she only thinks about for the rest of the years she lives. An old woman they found her kidnapped and she lived in an old people’s home. She always went in the corner of every room she went in. Just like when she was kidnapped. And she sits around trying to feel happy about something.57
Everyone looks at her and thinks she is ugly but she still thought she was beautiful, with auburn hair and eyes of emerald green. She always wished she could change the way she treated people when she was a teenager. 58
She became a old gypsy woman and decided to pray for her forgiveness. 59
The End.60
A round of applauds the old gypsy woman had. It lasted 2 minutes. Every other gypsy was stunned still shocked minutes later, one said. “You’re Viworna.” Some felt sorry and some felt happy and some did not even know what emotion they were feeling. She had so many friends now and soon they arrived at Canterbury but none went in they sat outside on the bench listening to Viworna as she read her poems.61
