Christmas Story Part 2

Fade in: CHRISTY laying in bed, stirring alittle then turning onto right side then eyes open alittle and she rolls onto her back and looks at the ceiling1

CHRISTY (Yawning): oh, it's (glances at clock) almost 4 pm...ok2

(CHRISTY yawns again as phone rings)3

CHRISTY (rolls onto left side and grabs phone then yells): I got it!4

CHRISTY: Hello?5

(On other line, LACIE answers)6

LACIE: Hi is Christy there?7

CHRISTY: You're talking to her her...Waddap?8

LACIE: Hey Christy, nothing much, what's up with you?9

CHRISTY: Nothing...just woke up10

(Phone beeps on CHRISTY's end)11

CHRISTY: Hey Lace, hang on I got another call12

(LACIE has started a story and doesn't seem to hear CHRISTY)13

(CHRISTY hits the ON button again, putting LACIE on hold)14

CHRISTY: Hello?15

(BRANDON is on the other line this time and answers joyfully)16

BRANDON: Hey, Christy?17

(CHRISTY almost drops the phone but answers quickly)18

CHRISTY: Hey Brandon... Long time no talk..what's up?19

BRANDON: Nothing, whats up with you?20

CHRISTY: Nothing...having a good Christmas Eve?21

BRANDON: No... I'm at my dad's right now22

CAMERA ANGLE: Turns to a profile view as all sound fades out again and CHRISTY puts hand over recever and speaks23

CHRISTY: Brandon's parents split up in a big explosion in Brandon's eyes when we were in the 7th grade... It was a huge mess... his dad cheated on his mom so Brandon completly hates his dad, he use to scheme on how to get revenge...quite fun to watch24

All sound fades back in and CHRISTY removes hand from recever25

CAMERA ANGLE: Front View of CHRISTY on the phone with BRANDON26

CHRISTY:  Hey Brandon... I have Lacie on the other line..can I call you back on 3 way calling?27

Cut to: BRANDON'S HOUSE28

BRANDON shrugging: Sure29

Cut to: Christy's house30

CHRISTY Hangs up and flips back to LACIE's call where LACIE hasn't some how noticed that CHRISTY has been on the other line31

CHRISTY: Hey Lace... Lace?32

LACIE: ...And then it was the funniest thing becasue....33

CHRISTY yelling: LACIE!! LACIE!!34

LACIE: I have never seen teachers play Basketball...they sucked!35

CHRISTY taking a deep breath then yells as loud as she can: LACIE!!!!36

LACIE: What!37

CHRISTY:  Can I call you back? Like 3 way you with Brandon? 38

Cut to: LACIE'S house where a scheming smile grows on her face39

LACIE: Sure...40

Cut to: CHRISTY'S House where CHRISTY hangs up then redials LACIE and then puts her on hold to call BRANDON41

BRANDON: Hello?42

LACIE: Hey is this Brandon?43

CHRISTY: Hey guys44

BRANDON: Yeah this is45

LACIE: Oooo46

BRANDON: What?47

LACIE: Oh just something Christy had told me about you....48

(CHRISTY jumps at this and lowers her voice to a deadly level)49

CHRISTY: Lacie don't you dare....50

BRANDON: What?! Tell me! What's going on!51

LACIE: Nothing...52

(LACIE says something so fast neither BRANDON nor CHRISTY catches it)53

CHRISTY and BRANDON: What?54

LACIE: Christy likes you Brandon..she use to not be able to shut up about you!55

(CHRISTY starts breathing heavily and feels her temper rise a bit, she jumps up off her bed and stands pressing the phone to her ear)56

CHRISTY: Lacie I'm gonna kill you for that...57

BRANDON sounding dumb-struck: so it's true?  You do like me?58

CAMERA ANGLE: profile on CHRISTY standing facing her wall  of closets, speachless59

LACIE: Yeah she does...60

(CHRISTY snaps at LACIE)61

CHRISTY: Lacie shut up!62

LACIE ignore this comment: She has had a huge crush on you since 6th grade...63

CHRISTY: LACIE!! SHUT THE F(stops self before cussing) UP!64

BRANDON: SHUT UP BOTH OF YOU!65

(LACIE and CHRISTY go silent)66

BRANDON: Thank you... Now Christy...67

Fade in: to CHRISTY running down Rockwood BLVD. with tears streaming down her face69

CHRISTY's mouth doesn't move but a voice over of her thoughts are heard70

CHRISTY'S THOUGHTS: How could she be my best friend...How could she...71

(CHRISTY runs harder and faster, turning the corner on to Garfeild)72

CHRISTY'S THOUGHTS: SHe knew how much I didn't want him to know... she knew it...73

(A voice over of Brandon's words are now heard thought werent spoken before)74

BRANDON'S VOICE: I'm just your friend...thats all I wanted to be... I did use to like you and I'm flattered that you like me...75

CHRISTY's VOICE in reply: LIKED you!  Brandon...76

BRANDON' VOICE: Fine..liked me....77

(CHRISTY runs down the street and makes it to 29th and watches the traffic pass her before running accross the street and passing a sign reading:78

(CHRISTY runs through the park and ends up next to the duck pond where she sits on the cold hard ground and looks at the sky where her thought overvoices all other sound)81

CHRISTY'S THOUGHT: I wish I was dead...82
