Midnight Song~ Chapter Four
Exile 1

Rusty walked right up to Striker and looked him in the eyes. “Striker, you are insane. She is from StarFire, she cannot live in ShadowPaw.” Rust said, other wolves around him murmured in agreement. Striker’s pelt bristled. “Where is she supposed to go?! She has not home and no Clan or pack.” Rusty glared at Striker. “That’s not our problem. You got her kicked out of her pack so you fix It.” Rusty turned and padded away back to his den. Cinder’s eyes met Striker’s, the glittered with sadness, she turned and padded away back to her own den as well. Striker watched his Clan mates turn away from him, none of them even backed him up. He turned and looked at Coal. “I‘m sorry.” he said sadly. Coal’s eyes reflected the same sadness as his. “It‘s alright, I‘ll just go.” she said turning away. Striker stepped in front of her. “My Clan doesn‘t trust me to be their leader anymore…” He paused. “Lets run away together, leave the clans behind. We can start a new live of our own.” Striker said. But before Coal could respond a shadow was cast over Striker.
A huge grey male wolf stood over Striker. “What did you just say?” he asked. Striker looked up at the male wolf, his eyes wide with shock. “Blaze?” Striker’s brother growled at them. “Go ahead run away as far as you want. It‘s clear that she matters to you more than your own family and Clan.” Blaze turned and climbed on the rock. “I, Blaze new leader of ShadowPaw send Striker, former leader of ShadowPaw and Coal, former member of StarFire, into exile. You are no longer welcome in ShadowPaw.” Blaze said coldly.
All the other wolves stayed quite, on one dared to speak. Striker had betrayed his clan and now Blaze was leader. Striker stared as him for a moment then turned and walked away with his tail dragging on the ground. Coal followed him out of ShadowPaw territory. Striker and Coal had lost everything today but they had gained one, love for each other. Love, that they both hoped was worth it. But Striker knew in his heart that he and Coal would be together for a long time and that she was worth everything that he had lost.
Striker and Coal left ShadowPaw and StarFire that day, they left the ways of the Clan behind them. Their friends and family had turned on them, just because they loved each other.
