Why I love Him

I love how he makes me feel1

And when I kiss him I don’t have to stand on my heels2

I love how he always holds my hands3

And how in the summer we made castles in the sand4

I love how he holds me when I can’t sleep5

And the promise ring he gave me- even though it’s cheap6

I love how he always takes care of me7

And how he trusted me with the Monte key8

I love how we mostly agree9

And how I can see that he really loves me10

I hate that he got in trouble11

And when he gets a little stubble12

I hate that he won’t do dishes13

And the only animals he’ll let me have are stupid fishes14

I hate how he always needs a new car15

And how sometimes he smokes cheap cigars16

I hate that I can only see him once a week17

And that I can’t kiss him, not even his cheek18

But, I mostly hate how I don’t know if he’s okay19

And how much I worry about him everyday20
