Happily Ever After

He sounded drunk as usual 'How'd I ever end up with a son of a bitch like you.' she turned the gun to her neck and looked up into the ceiling, at first it was like relief. the shotgun fired and the room turned the corner....Brandon looked down at her and almost as fast as he lost it he was on his knees sobbing...He wiped his eye and that was when he decided that there was nothing left in the world for him, for his children, for his wife.7

This time Jess climbed the rocky cliff alone. Jeff was alone and he liked that. He climbed to the top and kicked over some stones. Up ahead a little ways was a shallow cave. More murders. Half a dozen bodies now scattered beneath the earth. This time the old man dug, Jess was out preying--feeding--killing. He did it for power, for glory, for game. It was nearly two years after the old man rescued Jess from his eternal damnation and Jess sat atop his goldmine. It was a happily ever after.
