Is it love - Chapter Five

As Elena walked towards her room after so many tiring chores her drunken mother always neglected to do. She thought of how her mother was slowly killing herself with her alcohol addiction and Elena being powerless against her trying to stop the addiction she had.1

Elena sighed softly and walked through her bedroom doorway. As she walked slowly to her bed, her eyes staring at the bag that laid on the edge of her bed.2

Elena tried to stop thinking about him.. About Justin Frailer.3

Why did he help her?
Why did he care?4

Elena sighed deeply and let herself fall backwards onto her bed. After a moment, Elena turned to her left hand side and faced the bag on her bed. She raised her right arm and extended it towards the bag and brought it to her grasp. As she adjusted her posture to a sitting position, She pulled the bag strap and dragged the bag along with it to her lap and undone the second button on the bag to show the contents inside...5

She knew it was Justin's... She grabbed the wrong bag when she made a break for it in the heat of the moment when he held her as he helped her...6

All the books names had Justin's name on it. Mentally slapping herself at that time for being so stupid.7

"Ugh.. Excellent.. I grabbed his bag instead of mine. How could I be so stupid?! I should have just asked for my bag and made a run for it... God."8

Elena started putting the books back as best she could and not to bend the covers/pages and not to rip anything.9

Justin laid there, still in a daze from Elena's amazing singing voice. Her voice was like a melody in his ears. It was like a light at the end of a dark hallway that stretched for miles on end. He was amazed at how she could hold long notes and sing such tunes.10

Eventually, he fell asleep...
