Coffee Brown Eyes

The stars glittered across the sky as I took another breath. The pale moon light glinted in his beautiful coffee brown eyes. Silently, in my head, I counted the different shades of brown. I felt my cheeks burn with the cold, my fingers numb as they entwined with his, and my feet sting, but I didn’t care, I’m with him, in his arms, beneath the stars and I’m happy. 1

As I stared into his eyes, his staring back into mine, I found myself wondering what he’s thinking. Was he thinking typical guy-like thoughts? Was he thinking how happy he is? Was he wondering the same thing I am? He leaned in, breaking my concentration and kissed me lightly. “I Love you,” he whispered, his breath misting into the air. I paused, briefly considering my words before saying it back. “I love you too.” I said, a smile coming to my lips. 2

Silence fell back into place as I leaned my head against his chest and gazed at the stars. I looked at the brightest, most beautiful star, and wished. I wished things would stay this good. I wished my love would be returned. I wished I could stay happy. Then I found myself thanking the stars for putting things right, for allowing me to be happy. 3

Closing my eyes I drew a picture of the man lying beside me. I saw his dark, curly hair, his tall, relaxed stature. I saw his comforting smile, and I saw his beautiful, almond shaped, coffee brown eyes. Opening mine again, I repeated myself. “I Love You.” I knew it, it just had to be. I may have fallen fast, but it was true, I had fallen yet again.

    Wowee!

That was a really sweet romance scene...obviously...
Is this from imagination or experience?
Not to brag, but I've been there...standing up, not lying down, and he was the cold one and i was warm, but still!
A magical moment that i experienced, which was described perfectly in this story.
I like the emotion that flowed through this...it was cohesive, and you didn't drag it on and on. Short and sweet, straight to the point in two sentences.
    A really great length, too.
I predict that you may get a lot of comments on this for the reason that it was short enough to keep your readers' attention, and really good.
