My beloved Lord,1
My time away from you has been tortuous. You are 2
in my thoughts and control my dreams. How I once wished that I could3
be myself again, to be free of this unending desire to be in your 4
embrace at all times. I was weak then, and am still weak. But now I 5
would give up a thousand days of my life to spend one night with 6
you. To hear you say my name and know only your lips, I would 7
forsake anything. I would swear away my heart and soul, but they’ve 8
already gone. You carry them, whether you know this or not. Break 9
them or embrace them, it matters not. I will love you, love you, and 10
love you until the end of my life. 11
Your hopeful servant,12
xXx

Short and beautiful
Also, despite the time period that the letter is meant to be set in, I found that I could very easily relate with the words anyway
Good work
Thank you for entering the contest.
