Your my Sunshine (Onexshot)

'You Are My Sunshine
My only sunshine.'
1

The day was clear and bright, not a single veiw of gray clouds in sight. A strawberry blond girl, was dancing as the pink flower petals danced and swirled everywhere. It was a charming picture to have seen. Henry had sighed as the door to his study had opened. A short man with gray hair had stepped in. "There is something you should know about your daughter Lord Henry..." said the man who had walked in. Henry had turned to face the doctor, "It better be very important..." he had grunted before sitting in a chair. The doctor had coughed before saying anything more. "Your Daughter has a Terminal Sickness..." he had said rather bluntly, "And I am afraid she doesn't have that long to live either..." he had added. Henry had sighed in frustration and ran a hand through out his own hair. He had stood up and think about it a brief moment before looking out the window to see his daughter still playing among the flowers, "Please leave..." he had said as he still watched his daughter have fun. The old man had left without a single word2

'You make me happy,
when the skies are gray'

She had looked so happy, but she had probably already knew that she would possibly die one day. "Just like her mother..." Henry had softly said. He had continued to watch Monika have a blast. Her blond hair swung freely, and she had a tender smiled was on her hair. She was laughing as well. Then all of the sudden she had paused and had looked up at the window her father was watching her from. She had lifted a hand and waved with a smile she had waved.4

Monika had glanced to the tree and saw a boy who was holding a single flower. She had chuckled and then slowly walked over to the boy, taking the flower as she gave him a kiss at the same time. He was a charming young man, Henry had to admit to that. Yet he had never seen his face once, he didn't know who he was. And as strange as it was, he didn't care, and he didn't mind the boy coming around to only see his daughter. The boy had made Monika happy.6

"What a cruel world this is...." said one servant. "I know, the gods had finally given him a daugher and then eighteen years later, they decide to take her away... from this world." said the other, " Lady Monika would be 18 this snowfall, it is a shame she will not see spring next year..." murmured the next. Henry was listening to the talk of the kitchen maids as he went down there for a snack, he had decided to speak, "And it would be her last year to do anything from Playing in the garden, to ever be loved. To ever do anything again." he had said as he sat down at the table.7

'You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.'8

And that following winter had come, just as planned. The people of Akasha manor became restless. Monika had her 18th birthday, she had gotten to play in the snow. But that boy still showed up and waited by the tree, with a brand new flower. Even though Monika had gotten iller and iller by the day. She had stopped coming out of her room, she had stopped attending parties. In the middle of the winter, right before Yale, the boy had stopped showing up, around the time Monika had summoned her father to come had see her. They both knew, the time has come. They both knew what was going to happen next.9

Henry had came to her room as he was summoned, but when he had set eye's upon his daughter, she was paler then a ghost and her hair was thinner then thread and the color of snow. She looked very tired. Sitting beside her on her bed she had listened to the little facts on every single little funny thing she had done when she was little, but when she had tried to laugh. She would been in more pain. She had started to breath slowly as she closed her eye's, "Father... Can I ask something of you?" she had said to him. Henry had nodded, he had removed strands of hair from her face, "Anything for you, Monika" he had said to her. Saying her name, already hurt like hell. But he didn't want to show the sadness or the fear to her. Monika had sighed, "Please do not blame your self or the gods of light... It's just a fact of life that we all have to face one day." she had said, "And also... keep this in mind to, I will always be your little girl dad. And I lo-" her voice cut off and she had stopped breathing. The odd this was that Monika had smile, placed upon her beautiful face, just like when she was born. A single tear had streamed down Henrys face. At once he had known that she was free like a butterfly, "I love you too, my little girl" he had said as he kissed her cheek one last time.10
