**Note: The actual topic of Elements is debatable and vague, and no matter where you look, you're going to find a different theory. Be it stories, movies, games, it's usually always different. The most common that I've heard is the 4 main elements, Fire, Earth, Wind, and Water. And so to make things clear, I'm going by the world I created, Lothario's elements.1
"Okay children, today we are going to discuss the Elements. The powerful forces that help us in many more ways than just in magic," Aaron said as he walked into the classroom. Putting his few books down on the desk that was at the front of the large room he turned to look at the class. There were only three others in the room with him, which was strange for a class equipped to hold 35 or so students. 2
"I am not a child," sighed one of the boys irritably. He was sitting in the front row of desks with his legs propped up and his chair leaning back. "And I already know about the Elements," he said rolling his light blue eyes.3
Aaron just smiled and leaned back against the teacher's desk. "Exactly why I have you here Lucas. You can help me explain to these two. So boys, where should I begin...?"4
"Um Aaron..?" The boy in the middle tentatively raised his hand. 5
"Yes Leo?" Aaron smiled pleasantly.6
Leo blushed and put down his hand. "W-what exactly are the Elements? I've.. never fully understood them, or their reason for being such a big part of magic."7
"Ah, very good question. The Elements are forces that come from our planet and aid us. They help us cast our spells and help us to survive, such as fire that helps to cook our food and keep us warm. Lucas could you please list the Elements?"8
Lucas sighed and began to list them off. "Light and Dark, Fire and Ice, Water and Lightning, Wind and Earth."9
"Thank you Luc. The Elements come in pairs, and are sort of enemies of each other. Light snuffs out Dark, whilst Dark snuffs out Light. Back when the great Goddess created Lothario and all it's beings, there was no order to the Elements. 10
"There was great chaos as each fought for what it wanted. Fire wanted to burn everything down while Water wanted a peaceful blue place. Sadly enough, all the living beings were thrown right in the middle of this fight. As the world was torn apart people cried out to the Goddess for help. She was puzzled as to how she could stop this waging war between the Elements and one day she found an answer. She bound each Element to a certain thing, such as Light to day and Dark to night. Some of the more pesky Elements would break free of that bond and create havoc, but it's opposite would fight it back down. And that's why the Elements are in pairs. Good to fight the bad." 11
Leo frantically wrote down every word Aaron said and as he finished the last sentence he looked up. "And so why are the Elements so important to our magic Aaron?" he asked with eager eyes. 12
Lucas sighed in annoyance. "The Elements are important to our magic because it gives us our magical strength. We draw our magical power from the planet and the stars, where the Elements reside. We ask for their help and they offer it. Each type of magic uses a certain element, sometimes more than one." 13
"Yes exactly! If we didn't have the Elements and their strengths, our magic would be rendered useless. Back after the Elements had been given order the Goddess chose a few men and gave them the power to use an Element. To use it and contain it. After all these generations new magics have been found, some lost, but the art has been nearly perfected. People no longer die when they draw power from the Elements. So Leo, what Elements' power do you use for your healing magic?"14
Leo put down his pen and quietly thought about the Elements. "I would... say... Light. It takes away the darkness, which sort of resembles pain, and makes you feel better. In the dark you feel heavy, and afraid, but in the light, you feel lighter and happier. And when you heal an injury you feel better afterwards." 15
"Water too," piped up the boy on the other side of Leo. "Water stops Fire, so it's like taking away the sting of pain." 16
"Very good you two. You're right Leo, Toby. White magic draws power from Light, and sometimes Water. Another example is Black magic. Lucas, that's your specialty."17
Lucas sat up and grinned. Holding his hand out he chanted a few words and a small ball of fire materialized in his hand. "Black magic uses all the elements, which makes it the most dangerous and powerful type. But I find mostly Fire is used. But if you learn the ancient spells, it delves very deep into Dark. That's why it's forbidden to learn the more ancient spells, Black magic used to be used for bad and so it used the more chaotic Elements." He closed his hand and the fireball disappeared. 18
"Now I'm sure you all know what the Elements do so I don't have to give any examples, correct?" Aaron looked at all three boys and they all nodded their heads. "Okay," he said clapping his hands together," I guess that's all. Let's go home and have dinner," he grinned.19
Leo and Toby jumped up and quickly gathered their books, while Lucas went and grabbed Aaron's books. "Why did we have to do this in one of the classrooms? It would have been more simple at home."20
"It gave the lesson more of a school feel you know? I've always wanted to be a teacher," Aaron answered cheerfully. They headed outside to find themselves in the midst of a storm. Aaron, not resisting himself, yelled out," and what Element is this?" He was answered by a thunderous crash.21

I'm just horrible with endings though... I might try to fix it but... I'll probably fail again
Good luck!
