When I look at you, I am overwhelmed by my own desire. It takes me over and I forget everything and everyone but you. Only you. 3
I attempt to look towards the bluest sky, but turn away when I realize it can’t compare to your eyes. I can’t look into the darkness, or at a raven’s wing, without thinking of your hair. When you leave for work, I shatter into a million pieces, each piece representing a kiss, an embrace that I couldn’t give. You gather them and hold them to your heart. Hold me to your heart.4
My own heart skips when you smile, laugh! It’s as if I’m living a fairytale, and you are my prince, always were. In the quaintest way, I know we were made for one another. You know me: I’m quaint anyhow.5
In the evening, just as you’re falling asleep, I look at you. I don’t know if you’ll ever know it, if you’ll ever ask, but I love you. I’ve never said that to anyone, anything. I’ve whispered it to you thousands of times. I’ve thought it several times, when you wrap your arms around me, when you kiss me, when you say you love me.6
