Dearest Christelle,1
I miss you terribly. Iris may be my good friend but her presence cannot satisfy me as yours can. The air is not as refreshing and undoubtedly dull without you, the sun is dead. The rich taste of your lips on mine I will never forget. Its flavor is the sweetest wine, forever present on my teeth. The moon is no longer beautiful when you are by my side. Even the hottest day in the midst of summer feels like winter’s frozen breath compared to the warmth of your arms around me.2
Those are just a few things I feel when I consider your immense beauty. The battle here is dense, but everything will be alright. When I return, we shall be married immediately. The world in all its evil and death cannot prevent our love from flourishing. Wait for me, my darling. I will return in due time. I swear it with all the crimson blood that flows in my veins.3
Love,4
you know quite well who I am, Darling.5
