Her

And there she was. Blending with the snow. I stared...What do I do?1

How can I help? And with little hesitation, I laid next to her, leaning into her, just enough to keep her warm without smothering her.2

Minutes...Maybe hours passed. I shot up quickly and went to search for food. I brought home my blookd-soakedkill to my den, wasting no time in running back to her. I had to save her.3

I dragged her by the scruff back to my den when I found her. I think she saw me at some point, but I can't remember. I let her lay, still on the cold ground, as I yet again, laid with her. The same picture, but on a dry surface. I fell asleep against her, dreamlessly.4

I awoke. My body flat on the ground. She had woken up while I was sleeping. Her face buried in the dead deer I killed for her, she peered above the animal's body to look at me. Her eyes...If beauty had no name, it would be her. Such tragedy laced with desperation and hope. She thought she had to leave at the sight of my eyes, but my eyes told her to stay. She bent down to take a small chunk out of the deer's belly. She finished up nefore walking gracefully slow to me. I awkwardly wagged my tail as she curled up onto me. I was whole..I was free...I was alive.

Author notes

This is more of a memory from a past life, but I decided to write it as a story. First story I've ever written, so I hope it's an enjoyable read.

    Welcome to StoryWrite

I like that you story is told from the wolfs perspective. It gives it a unique flavor and it is quite challenging to lead the reader to view circumstance through eyes other than their own.

Keep writing and again, welcome to the site
