Part Three

~Friday? Wow... It feels like this week just went on forever. Finally.~ She thought as she drifted out into the hall along with all of the others. She gathered up her things, ignoring all of the giggling in the halls, all of the gossip about who's having a party this weekend and whats happening...~blah blah blah.~ She thought. She was getting sick of all of this. She would be out soon. She would graduate and then be out in the real world, where perhaps they wouldn't be so cruel. She knew she was better than them and yet she walked out through those big doors, her head hanging low,staring at the floor.1

"Hey Crystal!!!"  ~Oh great,~ she thought. ~Who the hell could that be? There must be another Crystal at our school.~ And she kept walking.2

"CRYSTAL!!!!" The male's voice hollered down the hall and she whipped around, annoyed.3

"Wha-!" And she smiled just a bit. "Hey."4

He smiled back and walked over. "So what you up to this weekend?" She considered saying she had a sleepover.. but she just shrugged and started walking.5

He fallowed and asked if she had anything in particular planned.6

"Nah, just gonna hang or somethin'..with some friends." The lies flowed pretty easily from her lips. 7

"Think I can tag along?" ~Oh shit... ~ she thought.8

"Ummm sure! Unless you would prefer just you and I hang out." She smiled a bit and hid her trembling hands in her pockets.9

He smiled at her and nodded. "So where you off to?"10

"Anywhere but home." she answered coldly.11

" Okay follow me..." And with that he drifted down the steps and toward the trees near the back of the field.12

"Where...?" She stared, then just followed him as a comfortable silence filled the air around them.13

~Okay so where are we going? ~ she though to herself. ~Just don't think about it... ~ she countered silently. ~Just trust..for once.~ And so she did, following him into the trees and off school property.14

"Okay," he said after about five minutes. "Where do you want to go? Somewhere silent with nature or somewhere with lots of people?"15

"I really don't care... I just want to get away."16

"Yeah I understand, come." And he gestured towards and large intersection. "You got a problem with J-Walking?" He asked her smiling.17

"Nope." She said, and smiled back.18

With that he ran diagonally across the busy street with her following just behind him.19

"Okay so Let's go somewhere.. I believe you said anywhere?" And he smiled at her.20

"Yeah ANYWHERE." She smirked and followed him as he continued walking.21

"Howe about we just walk, because ANYWHERE isn't quite detailed enough for me to find a place that would make you happy." He smiled warmly and leaned down to kiss her cheek. She blushed, her face red and hot. And they walked in silence after that.22

"Dad I get it!!!" He screamed. He had just gotten home after dropping Crystal off about 15 minutes earlier and it was about 11:45pm. They had stayed all night, she said she didn't want to go home, so he didn't take her home  until they decided it was for the best.23

"No you don't GET IT!!! You were out all night and you claim that you were just walking and talking with some girl?! Get a hold of yourself and behave! Come home at a decent hour tomorrow night or else!!" And with that John stormed up to his bedroom. ~I have a had just about enough of this.~ He thought before he slammed his door.24
