We walked along the banks of the small creek right outside of school property. The sun was just setting, turning the water a beautiful orange color colliding against the ruffles of the gentle waves rolling against the sand, and the birds were just going to their nests for the evening; leaving Him and me alone walking in silence. 2
“It’s great seeing you again, Samantha; I have really missed you this past month. So much has happened in both of our lives to share with one another”. He says, slowly taking His big fur jacket off His square shoulders; placing it on top of mine, covering them like a blanket. 3
“You too, I always look forward to this, it seems so weird. Every night on this night, I look forward to meeting with you. Such a strange thing, it makes no sense to me, but I think that’s the main reason I love it so much”. I say, with still so many questions to ask, and so much to tell, but I know that we’ll be reaching the waterfall very shortly and He’ll be leaving. 4
Even though I can’t see His face underneath the darkness of the trees, I can tell He smiled as if I can feel it in the air. 5
We walk in silence for several moments, until He starts telling me about His adventures this last month. 6
He lives in the wilderness somewhere, but refuses to tell me where, so He always has amazing stories to tell about animals He comes across, and the locations He sees everyday. 7
“I love it out here, its just Nature and me, no one else. No buildings, no construction, no pollution, and no other people. Though seeing you every month is one thing I look forward to most, I just … wish it could be more than that.” He whispers, as He squeezes my hand tighter for a second. 8
I smile, showing him that I agree completely, and then quickly ask in a withdrawn voice’; “Why is it that you won’t tell me your name?” 9
He laughs. “I have told you my name” 10
“No you haven’t.”11
“Okay, fine. I haven’t. Why are you so anxious to know it anyways?”12
“I want to know your name, because I see you once a month, I tell you the most personal of things about my life, and you know my name. It’s only fair ...Pleeeeeease?” I beg Him, hoping that after all of these years He’ll finally give in and just tell me. 13
He says nothing, but laughs again, which I take as a hint that He’s not going to be giving up this seven year old battle … Tonight at least. 14
So I just huff in frustration and keep walking hand in hand with this wonderful faceless and nameless guy.15
Suddenly, He stops, facing the school grounds to watch the orange sun slowly disappear under the clouds. I look too, and like always, it is one of the most beautiful things about this night. 16
Every second the light is changing darker and even more magical watching it with Him. 17
As always, I can feel my eyes start to well up thinking about the fact we’ll have to say goodbye once again. 18
I’ve known Him since I was seven years old, I was so ridiculous then. Running around asking Him the most random of questions, but still so mature, and still loving every moment I spent with Him once every month, since I had always seen him as my only true friend. It was his idea for me to mark down the days we’d meet to find the pattern of it in the first place.19
“I wish you…-” I start, but am stopped by Him moving in front of me to give me one of His huge, loving hugs. 20
We stand like that for several moments, Him just holding my tiny body in His giant arms, both of us enjoying every second of the time spent together. 21
“Goodbye, Samantha” He whispers to me, kissing my forehead, and turns around, taking fast strides towards the water, deeper into the shadows.22
I cannot see the water, because of the tress all around it and because the fog is too low in the air, and too thick to see far away, but I can see Him just walk into the cold, black water, his big muddy boots disturbing it towards the small water fall ten feet from shore, but looking back at me to wave once more. For the first time in almost 10 years, I catch a glimpse of His beautiful hazel eyes that are highlighted by the moon making them appear like rocks of gold, but before I got a good look at the rest of his beautiful facial features, He turns away; walking straight into the waterfall with no hesitation, leaving me there listening to the water slowly drifting down the stream, hugging his warm fur jacket around me pretending I was actually holding him still, waiting for my life to snatch me away from this beautiful place in my dreams. 23
I did kind of dream this, i edited it a bit, but this is pretty much it.. Comments?

i love it. I love how it was actually a dream of yours.
I usually get my ideas from dreams too. I got one of my short-stories from a dream.
Very interesting how he only visits her once a month and then leaves.
I'm curious as to why he won't tell Samantha his name...
Loveing it ! :] -

lol thanks
The once a month thing is 100% true, which is SO freaky in my opinion, but the name thing is kind of poetic licence to make it have more of a plot to it, thanks for your comment
