Lost puppy

Thinking back I remember
When you'd call me
A lost puppy
At first I thought
I'm not a lost puppy
You're way off
You couldn't have been
More right
I am a lost puppy
I get lonely without you
If I had a tail
It would be tucked away
Going so many days
without hearing from you
Gets me this way
But as soon as
It's you whose calling
My ears perk up
My tail is wagging
I'm just so excited
To hear that sweet voice
Calling out to me
Telling me " I love you"
I truly will be a lost puppy
If ever you abandon me
So baby remember
There's always going to be
This lost puppy waiting for you.
