The Blooded Knife-chapter 6

Emily woke up and looked to the other side of the cave. Brian was still asleep. She kept her gaze on him for a moment longer but then diverted it to the mouth of the cave and grimaced. How could he not expect her to be tempted?1

Brian yawned and sat up rubbing his eyes. He'd dreamed of Sasha again, and relived the day she'd betrayed him and the scenario afterwards. But this time Sunny was in Sasha's place and for some reason it hurt more seeing Sunny betray him then seeing Sasha do the same. He supposed that must be because... actually he really didn't know why it hurt more.2

He slowly opened his eyes and looked around for Sunny, but she was no where to be found. He jerked awake and lept to his feet. /Had she...?/ He thought. /No she wouldn't have./ He told himself. /But if she was.../ He quit arguing with himself and zoomed out the cave.3

The wind blew on her face but she couldn't feel it, she couldn't feel anything anymore. "This isn't how it's supposed to be." She whispered under her breath. She was supposed to be happy to be out here. but it only made her more depressed. Her sorrow was overwhelming but she couldn't shed a tear.4

/Where was she?/ He questioned himself frantically. If she got anywhere near humans she wouldn't be able to control herself, she might kill somebody. As he had.5

She stood there staring sullenly at the ground. Hating Brian for taking her humanity from her when she smelt it. It was the most lovely smell, and the only one she had smelt since her suicide attempt. It was the smell of life.6

She was pulled to it and she couldn't resist. She went to the smell. She followed it.7
