Alice In Her Room

Yvonne Wicanblak had three, wonderful daughters, Garnet, the oldest who was deeply in love with a man in France, Cathy the middle, who was deeply in love with plants and Alice, the youngest, who was eleven, she was deeply in love with being alone. 1

Cathy did pretty much the same thing. 8

But Alice, she was strange. She was always latch hooking, reading, writing or typing away on her computer, no one knows what she's typing, no one really cares. Alice slept in her mother's bed, though she was eleven. She also sang, but she did it so quietly you couldn't understand what she said. 9

Cathy wondered if Alice had friends. "We never talk to her." said Cathy, "Maybe we should." 10

"She has friends." Garnet assured. "Mom would make her have some if she didn't/
