It was dark, it was cold, and it had started to mist. The street lights at the end of the block were just barely flickering as though the bulbs hadnt been changed in months. It was three A.M. and seventeen year old Elsie Roberts could hear the scurring of mice or what she hoped was mice in the alley to her left moving around. She shouldnt even have been out this late, she knew that. She should'nt even have been on this side of town, but the jerk who she had been dating had kicked her out of his car when she wouldnt as he had put it "Put Out". She had been dating Gary Mathews for the past month and everything had seemed fine till tonight when he had tried to get her to do stuff she just wasnt ready for..
