There's a void in the sky1
An inky hole, where the land and clouds divide2
When it rains there's an echo3
A voice that screams No, no, with a breathless cackle4
Beady eyes from the darkness5
Search the soul and find its lightness6
Leaving charred memories7
Of a clear blue sky, like its reflecting seas8
Fluttering sounds, feathery beats9
Enticing the wind to let its captives from their seats10
Promises are whispered, completed, submitted11
And in reaching the end of the emptiness12
We are all rejected13
