Little Brother

Little brother, oh little brother,
Where have you gone?
I've searched so long.1

Oh, sweet sister,
Don't you know?
He's playing in the orchard.2

Litte brother, oh little brother,
Where have you hid?
I've looked in the apple orchard.3

Oh naive sister,
Too dumb to know.
He's hiding in his apple tree, his apple tree.4

Baby brother, baby brother.
Crawl back home with me.5

No, dearest sister.
I can hear their muffled shouts through the hollow walls of home.6

Litte brother, oh little brother.
Hide me in your apple tree.7

Smother the purple with the tasty red.
The apples see all the unsaid.8

Oh dearest sister,
Where will we go?9

Naive brother, naive brother.
Too young to even know...10

Children, children.
Hiding in their apple orchard.
Safe amongst the leaves,
Where only crisp red eyes see the truth from the lies.

Wow. Can't quite tell if it's sad or happy in the end but it's still well written! I like all the links between the brother and sister
