What lies behind the truth (chapter 1 + intro) enjoy

Intro: What lies Beyond the TRUTH.1

:questions that I’d never thought I’d ask myself like, What if you became the enemy?2

-Who then would you be fighting?3

-What were you fighting?4

-Was it worth the fight?5

And I never thought I’d be able to answer those questions. Because who was my enemy: The super beings. Or was my enemy her? The reason why I choose to actually fight this battle the reason why I was fighting.6

BUT THE ONLY THING I DO NOT KNOW IS, WAS IT WORTH IT, FINDING OUT THE TRUTH?7

Because I’m still trying to find out………………………….8

7052341 Agent Donivan9

Chapter 1: the Mission10

"705 what are you doing?" Agent Thomas asks walking into the weight room.11

"Minding my own business." I respond. He comes up to where I'm bench pressing and snatches the weight out of my hands. 12

"Rookies can't work out here." He says while placing the weight back onto the stand.13

I sit up pissed. "Well, that’s a relief. Cause last time I checked my name wasn't Rookie."14

He gets closer with his little tough guy facade. "You gettin' smart tough guy?" He challenges.15

"Back off!" I say standing up.16

"Make me." Did this guy really want to push me to the edge? Obviously, now starting to get in my face. "You feeling froggy newbie?"17

"No," I smirk a little, "but you can leap off." This was a waste of my time, I start to grab my thing and head out, when Thomas grabs my stuff and throws it on the ground.18

"I’m-not-done-with-you." He smiles menacingly.19

"Well...I'm done with you." I form my right hand into a fist and get ready to knock this asshole out.20

"Save the fighting for your job ladies." The Boss comes in stopping my fun.21

"Sir," I say with respect.22

"Donivan-I thought I transferred you here not to start trouble." He says sarcastically. I look down. "Anyways- I got a mission for you," He hands me the profile. "names Ramiro Volturi, he's a big mob boss, and is selling drugs to over half the Western states."23

"So where, and when am I going?" I ask leaning on a nearby wall.24

"Tonight, your getting on the 6:30 flight to San Diego, CA." He hands me my passport and file.25

"Sir this sounds like a serious case." Agent asshole says. "This amateur can't handle it."26

"Oh, like you did when you slept with your profile mission?" Boss replies27

THE NUMBER 1 RULE IN THIS BUSINESS IS: NEVER GET INVOLVED. IT ALWAYS CAUSES TROUBLE, AND ADDS UN-NEEDED EMOTION TO ANY CASE.29

"She forced me sir." Thomas says, defending himself, I smirk. "What’s so funny Donifag."31

"Grow up," I say with a glare. "I'm sure she didn't force you, when you handcuffed her that time at the hotel room too?"32

The Boss chuckles. The clears his throat. "That’s enough." Then he sighs looking at me with apologetic eyes. 33

I shake my head. "No. Hell no- I refuse to work with this repulsive, sick, asshole." I look over at Thomas who blows a kiss and mouths the words: "Call me."34

"You see-I will shoot him and say that it was an accident."35

"The VNC does not trust you yet to work on this case by yourself, and all my other respectable agents that I could have assigned with you are working on the Tilman case." 36

_________________________________________________________________The Tilman case was the biggest case known to the CIA. Liander Knox was selling over 30,000 super computers to civilians who were injecting themselves with the computer's transmitter needle. The e computer was called Nixon, but was shortened to X. The problem came with what that computer did it created a new species of super-beings....they were fast, strong, and indestructible, a sign of the future; the Boss couldn't have that, robots or any advanced technology was a sign of pure demolishment of the world. Bit when agents finally decide to do something, Knox disappeared, them still searching for him. It was called the Tilman case because people would think that was Knox's last name and not know who we were looking for. Clever huh?37

*********38

"Hey donivan." I look behind the desk and see Agent Kelso smiling up from her desk as I walk past with a nod. She blushes. I get into my car and look at the time, 4:15. "Car on." The car engine revs to life; I guess being an agent had its up-Agent Thomas was its downs.39

The city wasn't to hi-Tec before the Boss did something, just minor virtual 3-D screens, voice start up cars, and supercomputers to say the least. I guess I sort of watched the city fall into technologies grasp, and that’s why I join the CIA. My apartment was two blocks away when my completely shuts down. 40

" Damn power surges." People were always trying to build the next big world destroying thing. Vroom my hums back to life.41

I pull into the lot and go into my studio apartment , grabbing five suitcases and stuffing them with random clothes even my old high school gear. The profile required me to be yr old senior at Grand Diego High School. Looking in the mirror I think I can pull it off, even with Thomas acting as my father. By the time I finish its already 5:30, I count 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. The apartment starts to shake, I look up through my glass ceiling watching the helicopter land on the roof. Ten seconds later a knock erupts my door.42

“Right on time.” I say opening the door. Three agents come in and grab my things and check the area43

to make sure it was secure.44

“I thought I was going on the mission.” I say confused.45

“You sir are the mission.” A dark-tanned guy, about 6’2 says.46

“What do y-.”47

“ We don’t trust you yet, Now listen cause I’m only going to say this once. There is no 6:30 flight. You48

are going to California as Tyler Donivan. You and Agent Thomas will be dropped off at a local car49

dealership in San Diego. You will have further instructions in the car. Any questions?” He finishes50

with a hard look on his face.51

“Well no but-.”52

“Didn’t think so.” He grabs my arm and rushes me to the helicopter. Boy did they really know how to piss me off.
