A Perfect Way To Be

"Vivian, talk to me after class please."1

"Can I go to the bathroom, like now!"2

"Yes, you may."3

Vivian, the sixteen year old ran to the bathroom. She threw up there, six times daily. She was lingering in math, really in every subject. 4

Mr. Baloo was the worst teacher in Vivian's veiw. 5

When Hallie Martinez's brother died he called her into his office, to "Help her feel better." after that, Hallie did seem better. But Vivian had no disire to talk to Mr. Baloo about her pregnancy. The man raped her, she was pregnant at sixteen, her parents kicked her out. 6

"Maybe I should have told them it was rape." though Vivian. 7

She had told her parents that she wanted the sex, causing them to call her iresponcible.8

She had told them that she was perfectly responcible, because she wasn't killing her baby by aborting it, and she was going to raise it like it was Jesus Christ. 9

Her parents where very very religious. That may have been one reason they kicked her out. Then, they said "If you're so responcible, then, live yourself and be very responsible!"10

They had practically shoved Vivian out the door. At least they gave her a wallet. She applied for a job days ago, and was spending the money she had gotten from her parents on rental, water and ramen noodles. 11

The bell rang and Vivian began walking back to Mr. Baloo's class. She didn't want to, but she knew if she didn't that stalker Mr. Baloo would follow her to her destination. 12

She walked in to Mr. Baloo's house. He was on the couch in the back of the room and he motioned for her to come near. 13

She hesitated. After what happened to her the last time she was on a couch with a man...14

She convinced herself that if anything began to happen, she would scream and someone would hear. She slowly walked towards her teacher.15

She sat by her teacher. 16

Did he already know she was pregnant? She looked down at her stomach, she was gaining a little bit of weight, it wasn't that noticable was it? 17

Mr. Baloo took Vivian's hand "Are you doing ok Vivian? Your parents told me the situation."18

So it was her parents, they had told her stupid teacher everything that she didn't want anybody to know. Let alone the teacher who shares everyone's personal lives with his classes and other staff members of the school, now the whole nation would know that Vivian May Francis was pregnant. 19

"It's ok Vivian," Mr. Baloo interupted her thoughts. 20

For some unknown reason this made Vivian cave, she began sobbing. 21

"They didn't tell you one part." she said, now wanting him to know everything, the rape, how he was 20 years older then her, that she might even be carrying a dead baby because the man had punched her hard in the stomach, that he was putting her under some kind of spell to make her spill out. She did spill out. Everything.22

Mr. Baloo now seemed uncomfertable. 23

What the hell do I do?" that's what Mr. Baloo was thinking. Now Vivian was practically laying on his lap. Normally he told the students it was going to be ok and they left, no problem and it made him feel good about himself. Now he had a sixteen year old rape victem sobbing on his lap. 25

Mr. Baloo hugged Vivian, what more could he do? He didn't know. 26

He rocked her slowly and then he began to get up. 27

He walked to his car saying good bye to Vivian, ensureing her that it would be ok, but he had to get home.28

Vivian began crying again not letting go of her teacher's hand.29

"What have I done?" thought the teacher. Trying to ply the child off of him. 30

He did and got in the car and Vivian stood there sobbing looking at him. He felt sorry for her so he rolled down the window and told her to get into the car. 31

This was a scary situation for him. This student obviously needed help, but then she could say that he was sexualy involved in her. She climbed into the back seat still sobbing. 32
