Ghoulish Poem

They lurk beneath gravestones,
Under churches,
And little kids bed1

Left trapped and unable to escape
And join the thrill of the night
Their savage blood lust is left unfed2

But on Halloween night their chains are lifted
Creatures of the night free to torment
And fullfill their awful needs3

Screams like a melidous song
Helpless victims are unable to escape
It is now that the ghoul feeds4

Courpses littering the streets
Blood leaving a trail to their hideaway
An incondite mansion worn away by hundreds of years5

The haunted house on Halloween night
A horid children's game and dare
Creating much fear and many tears6

They walk straight into the trap,
But none turn back,
And none show fright7

All are soon killed and devoured
By ghouls who haunt
And muderers who are creatures of the night 8

The sun starts to rise
They will no longer prevail
Their fun is over...9

Until next year!10

This was good! I really liked it, especially the last line "The sun starts to rise, They no longer prevail, Their fun is over, Until next year!" Just something about that stanza that I like. Made me think of all the spirits that supposedly come out during Hallowe'en! Which you clearly presented in this poem. Thanks for entering!
