Beep! Mikayla Gates yawned as she sat up and turned off her Accenda Alarm Clock. She got out of bed and grabbed her fuchsia-purple Loro Piana Classica Cashmere Robe and put it on. She looked at her reflection in her purple-framed mirror. Her curly black hair looked even more fabulous as it did yesterday. She flashed her pearly-white teeth, her full, dark pink lips formed a mysterious smile, and she spun around. Her silk, knee length leopard-print nightgown flew with the breeze from her ceiling fan.
“It’s Jacqueline! Answer your phone already! We don’t have all day!” Her best friend’s soft, sweet voice came out of Mikayla’s iPhone. It had been recorded to be her ringtone for every time Jacqueline texted.2
