He took a deep breath then walked into the classroom. It was gonna be one of those days, he could feel it. As he walked slowly towards his desk with his head down he could feel the other students eyes. They were looking at his clothes, his hair, trying to get the best view they could of his face. He liked to keep his face hidden... His arms as well.1
Nobody really noticed that he always wore long sleeves, ~Oh well~ He though. He didn't really want them to notice anyways. 2
As he neared his desk he could hear the whispers already. So much gossip, his school was like a small town. Nobody cared for others privacy and they were so rude it was truly inconceivable. He heard what people said about him, they didn't know it but he did. And he heard what they said about everyone else. In the locker rooms the boys talked about the girls they had scored with or the stiff ones who wouldn't move forward physically in the relationship. Of course, those ones were now exes. 3
He hated how the other boys seemed to have no respect for women, and the ways they behaved were just so immature. He was kind of scrawny and tall. Not that good-looking but then again he put little work, if any, into his appearance.4
John now had his head lowered as he walked out of the bathroom. His back was hunched and he wanted to go as unnoticed as possible. He didn't want to get into anymore fights and end up with more bruises then he had already. No one at home noticed The bruises, his teachers didn't care and he had no friends that would worry.5
"Nice pass in gym Johnny boy!" One of the boys in his gym class hollered at him fro the other side of the hall. He had fumbled the ball, he didn't really know what he was doing and now everyone hated him for it. Just like they hated him for well...everything else...6
He didn't really care about what they said about him. That's what he kept telling himself. But he knew it was a lie. It was painful to be called names and teased constantly.7
The next day he was walking to his homeroom class, when he saw this girl walking down the hall. She had pretty strawberry blonde, medium length hair which was farely straight with the odd wave. she wore a black hoody and walked quickly staring at the ground. He had heard the other girls call her fat a few days ago and ever since all she wore was hoodies, and baggy jeans. As she trudged passed him her eyes caught his. and for a second he felt something, a rush shot through him and a smile spread across his face. Then she glared at him menacingly and stomped away whipping open a classroom door. It then slammed loudly behind her and he almost ran to his homeroom class, noticing the time, finally.8
His day went alright.. Homeroom was terrible as usual, plenty of homework. the rest of his classes up until lunch were the same as always. And lunch was terrible. He sat alone with girls and boys chattering and gossiping all around him. A few tables away he saw that girl again. After asking a few of the people who sat near him in Science he had discovered a bit about her. Her name was Crystal, she lived far from the school, but she still managed to get here. Nobody knew much about her. But everyone seemed to hate her.9
crystal was too sitting alone and it looked as if she had tears in her eyes. He walked over and sat down beside her.10
"Hey," he muttered and looked down at his plate.11
"Hello..." she whispered almost inaudibly.12
He turned to her and smiled a bit, holding out his hand, "I'm john."13
She took his hand shook it for a second before declaring her name was Crystal. There was an awkward silence between them for the next few minutes until she stood up quickly. " I must be going..." and with that she hurried off out of the lunch room and out of his sight.14
John left his lunch tray on the table and grabbed his bag before walking out of the lunchroom. ~I don't know why I even come here anymore.~ He thought. ~I'm never hungry enough to eat any of this disgusting "food".~ He walked outside and sat under a tree with a book in his hand. He was bored of life and bored of school. He could never fit in and hated the way everyone acted around him and spoke to him. He was a loner and a freak and no one would notice if he never came to school again...15
She smiled as she walked to her locker. He was the first person to speak to her with some respect in the past week. And the first person to actually smile at her in at least a month. ~I bet he just pities me.~ She thought to herself, yet she did not really believe those thoughts. And the smile did not fade from her face.16

great job you've got me hooked on.. Add some more soon. I loved the description in it. I loved how you made John show respect to the person who everybody else hates. I wish everybody could be like that then we wouldn't have the conflict that we have in high schools, and middle schools. I loved this please write some more soon!!!!!!
-
I love how this story portrays that just a single gesture can make someone's day. They seem to be in the same situation and it appears that Crystal and John will find comfort in each other. I love where this story is going. It focuses on the truth of high school.
