What do you think of when you see my name?1

Am I a person who likes to travel across the country? Or am I simply a girl involved with the sport of running several miles over hills and natural barriers? What exactly does the 07 mean?2

The answer? A little of both.3

When I signed up for allpoetry back in the fall of '05, it took me a little bit to decide on what my name should be. I wanted something that described me and a little bit about my passions outside of writing and God. I love acting and singing, but "actorsingergirl" sounded really juvenile and quite stupid. I didn't want to use parts of my real name because I didn't want creepers coming after me. I thought of my other greatest passion: running.4

Would "trackstar" be appropriate? I didn't want to sound concieted though. I was on the Cross Country team, and I loved the sport a little bit more than track because smaller teams tend to be closer and the rivalries between other schools aren't as deep. Everyone encourages everyone else. 5

Besides that, I love to travel. My grandparents used to live across the country before moving here to be closer to the family. Every summer we would travel "cross country" to see them in California. 6

As for the 07? It was my high school graduation year. And thus the name "crosscountry07" was born. It's the only name I've ever gone by on this site, and probably will be the only name I'll ever use.
