Most people can't remember too much from their early childhood.1
Well...my first memory isn't exactly a pleasant one...slightly tragic, yet a bit humorous.2
It was a looong time ago, and I was at that age where most children have just begun to walk. I was going through that stage that we go through where we want to show off the new things our legs can do...like...make you fall.3
One morning my mother came to get me from my crib. I was only maybe a year, a year and a half? I have no clue...young as hell, I'll go with that. Anyways, I didn't want to have her carry me? I was a big boy! I could walk! I was Superman! So I would not let her carry me.4
She picked me up and I began to struggle...even as she was walking towards the stairs...of course, I didn't know then that I wouldn't have been able to make it walking, so I kept struggling.5
And I fell...6
And mom fell...7
Both of us, down the stairs.8
I remember I had been holding my Astronaut Cabbage patch doll. The most vivid part of that memory is my head laying against the cold floor staring at my astronaut.9
Mom broke her ankle, but I was okay...I guess...wait a minute...I WAS DROPPED AS A CHILD!10

WOW!! Dropped as a child!?! That sure explains a lot, Slinger!
Glad you are ok, and the injuries were nothing more than the ankle for your mom. Great story of your childhood. Remind me sometime to tell you of a story involving stairs when I lived in Hawaii.

Lol.. I thought this was cute.. Im glad I stumbled onto it somehow.. I cant wait to read more. It reminded me of my nephew who thinks hes the man of the house and is already walking (almost a year old..) and points fingers at people.

I would say you were more than dropped. I was glad to read that no one was more seriously hurt than a broken ankle. Reading this made me think of my earliest memories - being about 1 1/2, playing in the park near our home and having some older boys (I think they would have been about 12-13) and putting a frog down my back. I still don't like frogs very much to this day.
