Heaven can Wait (temporary title) part 1

Heaven was in the throes of chaos, which is never a good thing. There hadn't been a calamity like this since the Falling. No one was sure what to do, not even God. Incoming and outgoing was at a halt and backing up to maximum capacity. Without word from God himself there was no direction we could take. The shit, as they say, was about to hit the fan. 1

Sariel was even at a loss as for what to do, and HE is the angel of Guidance for God's sake! Usually you could find him sitting behind his desk, reviewing paperwork and assigning new attachments and generally handing out orders, but today he was in a mild panic, rushing back and forth from God's work chamber to the waiting area. 2

The humans had found out, they now knew all about our existence, and when humans make a discovery they start looking for answers. The nations of the world called a meeting as of what to do now and had decided to try and capture one of us for themselves for questioning and who knows what else.3

Humans had always been suspecting of us, but now there was proof. Real proof that there were actually Guardian Angels.4

That is why Heaven was backed up. With the imminent threat of Heaven collapsing under human confrontation, the Guardians had been called back and no more had been assigned and no more could be created. 5

When a person died on Earth and entered Heaven, they were sorted by their lives on Earth and given a station. To be truthful, most humans live average lives and the ones that do are made into Guardians. They are assigned a human to watch over and sent back to earth for that humans remaining life span. 6

With the current circumstances, God had ordered that no more angels were to be created and none to be sent out. All the angels on earth currently had to leave and return immediately until a decision was made as of what to do. As it was, the humans that were entering the gates of Heaven could not be processed properly and the entire place was beginning to fill up. Nobody knew for sure what was happening but everyone was sure it was a huge catastrophe whatever it was. Normally, the place was pretty quiet. No gossip or anything like that, because if you think about it, Heaven has been here since the beginning and until now, they'd seen it all. Now, hushed murmurs and excited whispers were humming about the room with violent velocity. 7

Lucifer was probably sitting on his throne in Hell and laughing his deviant ass off and plotting something for sure.8

Heaven was on high-alert, God was pissed, too many people were dying without their Guardians, Heaven was on the brink of collapse, and surely all of Hell was about to break loose. 9

And it was all my fault. Of course it was.
