Letters from the Lost Entry 5

Dear God,
I started middle school today. I got lost like ten times in one day. Was it like this when I started kindergarten? Or any other class for that matter? I miss mom. She's never had to miss me starting school before.
I got through my classes fine. I just hope Roy remembers to sign all of the papers, cause they're due tomorrow. He's off tonight with Todd, stupid hockey practice. I wasn't even invited. They just left twenty bucks on the table and asked me to order pizza; they'd eat once they got in. Gee, thanks bro. Todd's super happy with Roy. Dad wasn't around a whole lot, he's got a hard job like mom. Roy's got a nine to five job and comes home wanting to do something to unwind. But it's always with Todd.
Todd, the perfect child in our super happy family. He plays hockey, made all city last year You know? Oh he's just so great! His body was just made to play hockey! Blah blah blah. It's all noise to me now. But he gets a high off of it, I swear. He just gets puffed up. It makes me sick. I just wish once I could get praise like that, so I could show him how to handle it. Not to say "Oh yes, of course, I know I am." But to be gracious, and tell the throngs of people, "Thank you," like a real Christian.
Okay, okay. I'm sorry. I shouldn't bash my brother. I'm sure he just got sidetracked by the opportunity to practice with Roy, and forgot that I like to skate. I hope that's what happened. 1

Help me to not be looked over,
Sarah.
