I stood before Xion's door, biting my lip. Namine' was out of the question-- she would definitely say no, and probably tell Larxene. Zexion stood beside me, his eyes dull once more. He nodded, silently telling me to freaking knock already.1
I sighed and did so. After a few moments, the young girl opened the door. Her bobbed black hair was in her face, and when she saw us, her sapphire eyes grew wide. Xion looked worried for some reason.2
"M-marluxia?" she gulped, her tiny voice quivering, "Zexion?"3
"Hey," he mumbled, "We want to talk to you."4
"Am I in trouble?! I'm so sorry! I don't know what I did, b-but--"5
"Xion, you're not in trouble," he sighed irritably, "Now calm down and let us in, alright?"6
She stared at him for a while, then timidly nodded. She stood aside to let us in. When we entered, I was shocked by the cleanliness of the room. It was surrounded by four white walls, with a neatly made bed up against one. Her Keyblade stood against a window, and there were notebooks on a desk that was barely noticeable.7
Xion closed the white door behind her, "Okay," she breathed, "W-what is it?"8
"I think Marluxia should explain," Zexion said, glancing over at me, and she stared.9
"Well," I stretched my arm, "You know Larxene?"10
"Yeah. What about her?" she asked, her voice eager.11
"I, er... like her. And I'm trying to get her attention... in a positive way, of course. So I want to make her jealous," my voice broke. I couldn't say anymore. But it looked as if I didn't need to, since Xion was nodding.12
"I see," she smiled and bit her lip mischieviously, "So you want to 'go out' with me to make her jealous, right?"13
"Um, yeah," I arched an eyebrow, "Did you read my mind?"14
"Of course not! It's just so obvious! And also," she pushed back her jet black bangs, "It's an old technique. It usually works."15
"Is it because the female gender gets easily jealous?" Zexion asked bluntly. She narrowed her eyes.16
"No. It's because we like the ones that we can't have."17
"Oh," Zexion looked down. He probably realized he just got through saying that, "I knew that."18
"Right," she smiled at him.19
"Is it a deal?" I scratched the back of my head.20
"Well," Xion sighed, "There's already someone... that I like. And I know they like me back. So..." she gave me an apologetic look, "No. I'm sorry, Marluxia. But being truthful is always the best thing to do," she waved her hand towards the door, "I have some things to do, if you don't mind. So please, go."21
Zexion and I looked at each other, and left the white room. He rubbed his eyes.22
"Whatever. All that white irritated my eyes anyway," he groaned.23
"Emo. Anyway," I sighed sadly, "That was a failtastic."24
"Indeed it was. But we're not done yet," he walked away, "Follow me. We have more people to ask."
