Is that Illegal? Crazy laws you might not have heard of

Okay, as usual my boyfriend and I get in these strangest of conversations. Topic for today: crazy laws in America. I don't exactly remember how we got on this conversation but it was so bizarre and interesting that I just had to share it with you all. 1

The two of us did some research so here is some crazy laws in America that we found.2

In Alabama:3

•Dominoes may not be played on Sunday.
•Putting salt on a railroad track may be punishable by death.
•You may not drive barefooted.4

In Arizona:5

•It is illegal to take naked photographs before noon on Sunday. (haha I cracked up at that one. XD)
•Cars may not be driven in reverse. (how do you pull out of a parking space, I wonder?)
•Women may not wear pants. ( thank goodness I don't live in Arizona.)6

In Arkansas:7

•It's illegal to mispronounce the name of the state of Arkansas.8

In California:9

•Nobody is allowed to ride a bicycle in a swimming pool.
•In Los Angeles courts it is illegal to cry on the witness stand.
•In Riverside, California, kissing on the lips, unless both parties wipe their lips with carbonized rose water, is against the local health ordinance
•It is illegal to eat an orange in your bath tub. 10

In Oklahoma:11

•Females are forbidden from doing their own hair without being licensed by the state.
•In Tulsa, Oklahoma the limit on kisses is three minutes.
•Tattoos are banned.12

In Oregon:13

•People may not whistle underwater14

I haven't even made a scratch in this. XD15

So instead of a question of the day, I have a task for you. List some crazy laws that you found. I'm sure you can find a ton. 16

Lol yeah I can't take all the credit for this topic. My boyfriend orginally started the conversation and I ran with it. XD some of these laws that I would are insane and I saw that you posted up a bunch more too. It's hard to believe that some of these are actual laws.

Superb. But, as a Canuck, I must take issue with the "America" part. Canada (and everywhere else) has plenty of sub-moronic laws to match those in your list. No particular order and may or may not be true (though if true wouldn't surprise me):

British Columbia: It's illegal to kill a sasquatch (????).

Alberta: Wooden logs can't be painted (?). One cannot use dice to play craps.

New Brunswick: Driving on roads is prohibited. WTF?

Nova Scotia: Illegal to water your lawn when it's raining. Uh-huh.

Quebec: Illegal for a teen to walk downtown with his shoelaces untied. Kaaay...

Canada wide: Illegal to pay for anything in more than 25 pennies. Cannot publicly remove a bandage. Non dark sodas cannot contain caffeine.

All this from a five minute google search.

    Well done!

aww the beauty of google and copy and paste. XD

WTF on the driving on roads. What the hell is the point of roads then? XD

there was actually one that I forgot to list where it said that if you're riding a bike you have to signal with your hand when you are about to turn but it also says that you must have both hands on the handle at all times.

It's like a lose lose situation for you. XD
