{..Sasuke..} | Leaving A Broken, Glass Heart | {Shichi: Game Plan}

"So, this is our client, eh?" I questioned, watching the drunken man stagger into the room, chuckling to himself. "Eh? Can I even trust the short one?"
"Heheh! Who's the short kid?" Naruto asked dumbly. I counted down. 1

"Hey! I'm not small!" Naruto shouted, throwing a fit. "Naruto . . . Please be gentle, we want to help him, right?" I asked, soothing him down. "Heh, even the girly is questionable." I turned to him, smiling. "Oh yeah, women must be total losers in your Country then." I giggled, barely able to see the other's expressions.5

Kakashi: holding in laugh.8

Sasuke: . . . glare?9

I stared back and forth between Sasuke and the Bridge Builder. They seemed in a harsh-look contest. "Tazuna; I assure you; Naruto may seem like the average goofball, but he's trustful and committed, and Amaya . . .," The Hokage shook his head, showing honest, great opinion. I raised a brow, bowing in thanks. "Well, if you say so . . ." Tazuna turned on his heel and left. We travailed after him, forming a simple line.10

I was a little uncomfortably; being behind Uchiha Sasuke; the village's last Uchiha, and Sakura; the fangirl fanatic of Uchiha Sasuke. It made me wonder what they were thinking. Well, better than that smart-mouthed Tazuna. I thought, glancing back to Naruto. He was watching me, but blushed and turned away as soon as I met his contact. What's up with Naruto . . .?17

"OK, we're going to set up camp for the night. Our plans for tommorrow is very simple; Sasuke and Amaya; your going to protect the bridge builder, while Sakura, Naruto, and I go ahead to see if there's any trouble."18

"You can count on me, father!" I responded, looking over to Sasuke. "Right," he muttered. Tazuna, Sakura, and Naruto were knocked out right after that, sleeping in their own tents. "I'll go collect some fish; I'm kinda hungry."19

"I'll help." I glanced back to Sasuke, smiling crookedly. "Alright."20

I took another breath before diving into the water, allowing myself to be swept up in the current, just before hitting into a different waterway. "They're coming, Sasuke!" I called, going back underwater. I chased the fish, just before making them jump high up. Sasuke threw several kunais, nicking each one to a tree. "How many?" I questioned, pulling myself out of the water. "Seven. We'll need a few more," he answered, glancing down to the water. "Something wrong?"21

"Hn. Go again."22

"Alright, I'll be right back," I got to my feet, jogging back to the cliffs for another dive.23

I watched as Amaya left for the cliffs. My heart was beating fiercely against my chest. I hadn't expected Amaya to lose the shirt and replace it with a swimming outfit. My mind spun as I awaited her to spring more fish.24

I continued to dry myself off as Sasuke kept watch over the fire, while Kakashi collected more firewood, but from a distance. "That was fun," I giggled, shaking the water from my hair. "You did great," Sasuke complemented, turning over a few fish. "Hey, you wanted to see my techniques, right?" I asked, setting the towel beside me. "Hn . . ." I huffed a bit of air, just before doing a front-flip, jumping, and catching onto a branch. He watched as I hung upside-down from it. "How'd you do that?"25

"Kakashi taught me. You have to place the chakura into the soles of your feet, but just enough for your chakura to bind with the trees." I flipped back to the ground, just in time to catch a kunai from Sasuke. "I'm fast, Sasuke. There's no way to surprise me, unless . . ." I trailed off, noting my body being pressed against the tree. "You think your tough?" Sasuke whispered against my temple, turning the kunai at my throat. "Actually; I think lowly of myself so that I can be good," I answered, looking up to him. He noted my smirk and turned back. "You should never turn your back on the enemy, Sasuke." I watched my clone poof from the tree as I put my own kunai to the back of his neck. "Um . . . Are you two finished?" We both turned to Kakashi.
"Just a lesson Kakashi, 'night." I yawned and headed into my tent, falling asleep. 26
