Inspired, I have been inspired by the dark echos down a school hallway. It sounded like multiple lost souls, whispering and softly moaning through the echo of the walk.1
The idea:2
Two psychopathic criminals capture a young girl, ravishing in beauty, in a small Alaska town. Little to their knowledge, she is an escaped research patient who has been injected with an experimental drug that is slowly turning her into something of the living dead. 3
AS the two psychopaths begin torture, she begins final biological transformation. She attacks both men, biting them, and tearing away at them viciously. They then become infected, and through the snow and freezing black cold, the infection begins to spread from several places.4
It will be one cold day in hell.

It would certainly be a good idea. However, living dead do not work very well in the cold. Due to lack of circulation in their bodies, they freeze solid. They don't die in the cold, they're just immobilized until it gets warmer. (Information found in the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks) Perhaps if it took place a little further south or say maybe a scientist finds them frozen in the snow, takes them to a lab elsewhere, and they attack when they thaw out there. A very good idea otherwise.

Pretty cool idea. I think d-101 has a good idea there, though I don't really think a psycopath would have the empathy or care to really worry about "putting things right". The idea of one of the students infecting the other does seem cool though.

It would be better if only one got infected at first, so that the other could be exposed by his cohort (or not at all, and then attempt to deal with the police as a result). Sounds interesting, but zombies aren't really my thing
