Words like lightning1

Syllables like thunder2

Muses like melodies3

Stanzas a harness for them all4

Ideas form ideas-6

Form ideas form lives7

Long lost but8

   Never forgotten. Sparks.9

The writer revives them11

Creates in the abyss12

But never learn from the words' mistakes13

     Just leaves lessons for the rest of the world14

These words like lightning16

Those syllables of thunder17

Twist, turn into themselves18

     They are strong and infirm-unbridled and mute19

The writer is not their master21

   He is their hero.22

The pen is the verse. The voice.23

But it's never quite right24

   Truthfully,27

     Only the words understand the words28

    An interesting take on the act of writing. It's so very true. I love the last line. Nice use of Metaphor. I love the line, "Stanzas a harness for them all" So very cool.
