I walked down the path in stormy weather
I saw a sad girl who held a feather
We didn't know quite what to do
When she saw me-- "Who are you?"1
I bowed my waist and tipped my hat
"It's really not important, that--
But tell me, what do you plan to do
With that feather held so close to you?"2
With hands clamped tight, with guilt in her eyes
She claimed she had no reason to disguise
That she had no idea what she would do--
"Excuse me, may I walk with you?"3
The rain had stopped, for better weather
The girl, she let me hold that feather
I felt like I knew what to do
And at last she smiled-- "Thank you."

it's pretty. the rhyme scheme struck me as a little wonky, but otherwise it was awesome.

This was a very nice, endearing, flowing piece of poetry. I almost feel better from reading it, as i've been having a rough couple days.
Thank you for sharing this.
Keep up the good writing.
