I took Jen out of the hands of the nurse. I was hoping she wouldnt catch that something was up. 1
On our way home Jen started to wake up. I was glad because getting her and Lana in the house and up the stairs without notice is impossible.2
"Whe-Were am I" She says yawning.3
"Were almost home"4
"I'm so sorry"5
"For what?"6
"I probably messed up your day"7
"Are you kidding? You have nothing to be sorry for. Now, I need you ot go upstairs and get in bed" I said walking around the car and kissing her forehead.8
"O.K Love you" se says in a whisper nnow that she's out of the car.9
She quietly tiptoes up the stairs while I get Lana out of the car. Since shes fast asleep, It would take the equivalent noice of a bullhorn to wake her up. This is the perfect time for her to be sleep.10

As soon as I change Lana, put her in the crib and lock all the windows and door that lead to the outside, I go to check and make sure Jens asleep. 12
She wasnt. She was crying. It was scielent but stil I know my little sister, practically daughter.13
"Whats wrong Cupcake?"14
Her crying immediately stopped.15
"What do you mean wats wrong?" She says with her voice cracking.16
"Come on. I know you better than that"17
"O.K. It's just everynight I have nightmares."18
"About what?"19
"Dad. He comes back and *sniffle*"20
"Dont worry about him. O.K. Hes not coming back. He's not gonna hurt us again."21

Jen nods her head.24
