What comes from your parents is love and compassion and sometimes healthy pity and sometimes unknown happiness in the form of serendipity..1
Once you reach adulthood or thats how in India we graduate into the viscious attributes of life,we find ourselves in awe of what life has to give to us.2
We might tend to go "astray" or our upbringing might help our willpower, albeit inward deprivation of the mind, soul and body and the practically damaging effects or side effects which we are ready to bear.3
The mind an epicentre of all that governs or needs to be governed..a man is a man who can exercise control over his emotions by showing that he doesnt have them.4
Superficial stoicness is directly proportional to inward softness.5
No tears may fall from those "dried" eyes...but the heart bleeds inwardly..and the blood cannot be seen..the vascular damage is much more than the nictitating output.6
To allay ourselves from care is to not run away from it,no..given a Hobson's choice the mind will focus full throttle onto the Love to be showered, the care to be flowered, and the compassion to be delivered..7
The prisons do not tell you the full story and I regret it is not a good example..because hidden tortures are never reported..8
To feel is to be human, but to get hurt is inhuman..and to die a million deaths like this is absolutely foolish...9
I decry the proverb ..Its better to have loved and lost.!10
Why should lose come over here at all?11
Is love a conquest?12
Is love a war..nay a battle? no..13
Love is a feeling which decapacitates every organ of the body..Love is blind..Love makes the world go mad..et al14

Well said...even though I don't agree. Perhaps our life experiences have contributed to our different views on life and love. As for losing at love...it refers to the loss of a relationship, either through death, dishonesty, selfishness or apathy. I don't consider love a battle to be won. One should never close one's heart to love. I guess I'm just an optimist and you are the pessimist. Something in between would probably be more realistic. There is an old proverb..."Don't be sweet lest you be eaten up and don't be bitter lest you be spewed out." Your poetry betrays your self portrayed image of having no emotions. If this were true, you could not write such wonderful poetry and make such lovely comments on others' works. No hard feelings!
