Later that night I was lying in my bed, still thinking about Steven. I was interrupted from a beeping from my cell phone.1

It was 1 new message from Stan.2

Because I saw you were still busy w/ Steven…5

I hope everything is fine w/ u 26

Btw I know where this girl Julia lives. I was riding7

w/ my bike when I saw her going insyd a house8

She lives in Baker Street 7. 9

I also saw her last name, it’s castell10

I lay back down in my bed. I looked at my clock. It was 11:20p.m.40

After a while I heard someone knocking at my window.41

“Heya there,” Stan said and jumped inside.42

“Hi,”43

“So are we going?”44

“Yes, wait we go through my window?” I asked.45

“Yeah, why?”46

“You forgot that I’m afraid of heights.”47

“Oh, yeah, right.” He looked at me. “So are you going with your PJs on?”48

“Oops, I totally forgot.” I pushed Stan outside my room. “Just wait outside, okay?”49

“Yes, M’am,”50

I rolled my eyes and closed the door in front of him. I could hear his giggle from outside. I dressed up in black and tied my hair in a single ponytail. I let Stan back inside.51

“Now you look like a thief or something.” He said looking at my clothes.52

“Oh, just shut up.”53

We put our bikes in the bushes and looked at the house from Julia. All the lights were out. 54

“Maybe they are sleeping already.” I whispered to Stan.55

“Shh… I think I heard something.”56

We saw a figure coming out of the house.57

“Hey, I think its Julia.” Stan said.58

“What is she doing outside in the middle of the night?”59

“I don’t know, but we’re about to find out.”60

We watched Julia going to her garage. After that she went out with her bicycle. 61

We jumped on our bikes and followed her. We were keeping a distance so that she wouldn’t see us. She was driving to the woods. After a while of paddling, Julia finally stopped. She looked back; Stan and I hurried to the bushes. 62

“You think she saw us?” I asked.63

“Let’s just hope she didn’t.” Stan answered. 64

Julia was waiting. Maybe she was waiting for her boyfriend, but why? Suddenly I saw a shadow coming from a back of a tree. It was coming towards her. I could see that Julia was hugging the shadow. 65

“What is she doing?”66

No reply from Stan.67

“Stan?”68

Where the hell was he? All of a sudden someone was touching me from behind. I wanted to scream but that someone covered my mouth with its hands. 69

“Shh…” The figure said.70

“Stan… what-“71

As I turned around I saw that it wasn’t Stan it was Steven. Even if it was dark I could still see his blue eyes shining because of the moon.72

“Kelly, you shouldn’t be here.” He said.73

“What about you?”74

“I have my reasons.”75

I began to chuckle as I know it was something Steven would do. He looked at me solemnly.76

“It’s not save here.” He said looking at me straight in the eyes. 77

“Because your dad is here?” I looked at him back. He looked so handsome. I just wanted to kiss him right now. As I leaned forward to kiss him, he stepped away.78

“What’s wrong?” I asked. I saw someone coming towards our direction. I move closer to Steven, holding his arm tight. 79

“Hey, what’s wrong with you two? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”80

I sighed in relief.81

“Oh gosh, it’s just you, Stan. You scared the shit out of me.” I said my heart was still racing. I let go of Steven arm.82

“Hey Steve, what are you doing here?” Stan asked.83

“I could ask you the same thing.” Steven answered solemnly.84

“Ohm… we just want to save this girl Julia. Where is she anyway?” 85

“Oh, no! We lost her.” I exclaimed. “What are we going to do now?”86

“I will bring you home, Kelly.” Steven said grabbing my arm.87

“No, you can’t! I will find this girl.” Steven pulled me with him. “Stop! Let go of me!” I screamed. But he was too strong for me.88

“Steven, let her go!” Stan said.89

Steven looked at him and then he finally let me go.90

“Thanks, Stan.” I said looking angry at Steven.91

“So are we going to find Julia or what?” Stan asked us both.92

“I have a flashlight.” Steven said getting his flashlight from his bag. I smiled at him but he looked away. We three made our way letting our bikes in the bushes. Steven was in front, shining with his flashlight. I saw something lying on the ground. 93

“Steven, what is that?” I asked.94

He kneeled down, shining his flashlight directly to something. To my horror I saw that it was a head! A head from Julia’s boyfriend! I covered my mouth and my nose with both hands. 95

“Oh my…”96

Steven went close to me. He flung his arms around me. I began to cry. It felt good to be in his arms. There I felt save.97

“Where can Julia be?” Stan asked, he couldn’t take his eyes off the head. 98

“Steven, do you think… do you think it was your dad?” I asked still in his arms.99

“I don’t know, Kelly. I don’t know.” He answered.100

We continued our way to the dark forest. I was holding Steven’s hand all the time. I was so scared. Suddenly I heard footsteps coming. Someone was running towards us. We saw it was Julia.101

“Help! Help me guys!” She screamed at us.102

“Who is following you?” Stan asked.103

“A… A guy… no… I don’t know.” Julia said out of breath.104

“What do you mean you don’t know?”105

“It was so dark I couldn’t quite see.”106

“I think we should get out of here.” Steven said. 107

So we all went out of the woods. We were now near the streets as Steven all of a sudden stopped. 108

“Go ahead.” He said.109

“Why where are you going?” I asked.110

“Just an other way. So go!” He said kinda mad now.111

I leaned forward to kiss him but he rejected it.112

“What’s wrong?”113

“Nothing…”114

Then he went back to the forest.115

“What’s with him?” Julia asked. “Is he your boyfriend?”116

“I don’t really know…” I answered looking at the forest were Steven vanished in the dark.117
