You should've seen the look on his face,
As he stared at me through the glass.
You should've seen the tears streaming from his face.1
I loved him, once,
But I left him in the cold.
He asked for me back.2
No one liked him, except for me,
He didn't care, except for me.
He begged for me back.3
But I left him out there,
I stopped listening.
I just talked.4
I hit him first,
I screamed at him,
He knew it was the end.5
I threatened to kill him,
If he tried to stay,
He said I was nothing without him.6
I hit him, repeatedly,
Let blood replace tears,
I told him he was wrong,7
He was nothing.8
He stopped, stared into my eyes,
He knew the truth behind my words,
He was a nobody, a dreamer, a corpse.9
He looked into my eyes,
And knew he lost his worth.
And promised me:10
He promised me he'd write a poem,
Of all the things I said to him,
To let me know that I killed him that night. 11
It wasnt suicide.12
I laughed, turned away,
I left him to die,
And stepped away from the mirror.

Wow this is very sad and emotional. I loved the last 4 lines, they were really powerful. I could definitely feel his pain throughout the poem, the despair and wanting to give up. Very emo just like I asked for in this contest. The twist at the end of it being himself he has been talking about all along just makes it even better. I like this a lot. Thanks for entering and good luck
