Why am I so great? 1
Well, if the answer isn't obvious just by seeing my name, think about this:2
- I'm the Cadet Brigade Commander for all schools in the Muscogee County School District of Georgia. If that's not saying a lot, then what is? 3
Moreover, aside from simply holding the position, I invest numerous hours to helping my community with volunteer work that would otherwise not be done. 4
- I'm the Student Body President at my school and I actually try to help other students as much as I possibly can. On more than occasion, I have taken time out of my schedule to organize SAT, Graduation Test, and ACT tutorials. I've spent many hours of my own time helping others with what they need. 5
That's pretty noble of me, don't you think?6
- I'm the captain of the prestigious Raiders Team, commander of two Elite Drill Formations, and the commander of an award winning Color Guard.7
I've done it all. Be it military or civilian, I'm just perfect! I've guided my teams and its valued members to victory that would otherwise not have been attained! 8
Is it coincidence? No; its simply my awesomeness coming out.9
- I'm so smart, so nice, so cool, so funny, and so (semi) handsome!10
I don't want to sound narcisstic (or do I...you figure it out; I am the famous one here), but I've been known to outsmart students at even the most prestigious of schools. Plus I'm not arrogant about it (if you can believe that). 11
Moreover, I'm pretty athletic and easy to get along with. I don't let my fame and fortune consume my personality and change me into something that I don't want to be. 12
Did I mention that I'm funny? People love me (as I'm sure you do too). 13
Lastly, I like to think of myself as quite handsome. Do I look better than you? If you answered no, then you might want to ask that Magic Mirror of your to stop lying.14
"Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who's the fairest of them all?"15
"Not you, that's for sure. The one of which you speak is Andrew (that's me, of course)."16
See? Even your mirror tells you the truth now. 17
It feels so great to be me. I'm just so unique and perfect. I'm sorry for you guys. What kind of lives must you be living in comparison to mine? 18
I bet you still drive a car around. No helicopters for you guys; only for rich and famous people like me.19
What can I say? I'm just describing why I'm so great. I'm awesome, fantabolous me! 20

Author notes
This essay is for a contest.
I pray that you don't believe that I'm really this self-centered.
I'd like to make it be known that I am all of these things and that everything in this essay is true (except for maybe the handsome part), but I surely don't boast myself like I've done here!

I think it's very well written and you are handsome!

I like your entry, you were funny and awesome and not at all shy and just a little bit arrogant and conceited. Just what I was looking for in my "stars".
Your a bright shining star, to be sure! Good luck in the contest.
Glad to see you have a sense of humor and don't take yourself too seriously. Well done in the humour department and it's good to see someone who like me--loves himself.
May your star always shine bright.

It made me laugh...

Wow. The person in the story certainly has a positive self image.
Might be an idea to add something where the person in the story acknowledges that other see him as less than perfect but, of course, they do not have his level of insight, intelligence etc.
I like this piece.
