Before Chowder arrived....

"Noddles! Noddles where are you? Hurry up and bring me those teamelons will you? I have to have this dish finished before customer arrives." Said Mung Daal from the other side of the kitchen. 1

"Coming Mung!" Noddles called. "Man these melons are heavy." She said to herself. "Hey Shnitzel, can you help me carry these teamelons over to Mung? They're really heavy and I can't lift them by myself." 2

"Rada rada." Shnitzel replied.3

It took a while, but between the two of them they mange to get the melons over to Mung.4

"Man I'm gonna miss you when you open your own shop, Noddles. You're probably the best apprentice that I've ever had" Commented Mung Daal.5

"What are you talking about? She's the ONLY apprentice you've ever had! Without her we'd have been out of bussniss years ago." Yelled Truffles from her desk in the front room.6

"Woman, unless you can find me another apprentice to take Noddles' palce, we still might go out of bussniss." Retorted Mung Daal. 7

Noddles flushed bright red. "You're just saying that to make me feel special Mung, I'm not really that important. You'll be fine once I'm gone."8

"Well lets not worry about you leaving now, we've got to get this dish done." Said Mung Daal. 9

The next day:10

"Hello? Mung Daal? Truffles? Shnitzel? Is anyone here?" Noddles called from the front room. "I get worried when Truffles isn't at her desk." She thought to herself. She walked into the kitchen and turned on the light.11

"SUPRISE!!!!" yelled everyone as the jumped up from their hiding spots. 12

"Awww!!! How sweet!!! You guys are the best. Did you find a replacement apprentice last night?" Noodles asked. 13

Truffles and Mung Daal looked at each other before Mung answered. "Well, we did, but I don't know how long he'll last. He isn't all that bright, and he eats WAY more than you eat."14

"But hey," Noddles replied, "At least you found someone to replace me. Now you won't feel so lonely while I'm gone."15

Silence took over while they sat and ate there last meal together. "Well." Noddles said as she stood up. "My train will be here in 30 minutes, so I better go. I wish you the best of luck with your new apprentice. Goodbye."
