I don’t remember falling asleep last night. I woke up to sounds of screaming and running feet, people dispersing in all directions, cars honking… Suddenly I felt frightened, lost, I should have listened to her… Mom… I yelled and started running aimlessly like everybody else, just get away from here, anywhere. I stopped, hesitating. Why was this man pointing a tube at me?... I saw a flash, a thunder, the pain in my eye terrible… as I was collapsing the last sounds I could hear was a strident laugh and… damn dino…2
Mom… my tail trashed one last time.3

I read this in two different ways. 1) As if the boy were having a nightmare. It reminded the movie Jurassic Park and the T-Rex 'walking' on the streets.
2) A person under narcose, ready to have a surgery or something alike. Some people do see - or dream - weird things while under the effect of drugs. The man with a tube led me to this last idea.
A good story to make the readers think and try to find the real meaning.

Okay yeah so...I get it. When I forst read your title that's what I had assumed (seen first) was the T-rex thing...but reading the story, it felt more like a (human)child in a third world country or something. And the 'dino' was totally dur for me cuz I have a friend named Danil (russian for Daniel) and we call him Deno for short ('e' said as itself) so that's how I read it in the story too for some odd reason.
So why did you want me to see and read this? -

Well, I do not need "this" explanation. I know what is Trex or T-rex or dino...lol that is not my problem. It was about something behind your words. Something with deeper feelings, kind a taste of...may I say /your inner eternal feelings related to dino/? To be different?

sonja my friend, thanks for a comment longer than the story, lol. well, if you want the "explanation" i just wrote it on the story page, though (sadly) this will kill the pleasure (if such there is) from the following readers. i remember once reading a hitchcock story, and only one hour later suddenly jumping up with... "oh, my god..." . thanks for stopping by my friend.

sorry my friend, i do have a tendency to leave clues without providing the solution... unless if asked. the clue is in the name (quite revealed actually) - Trex is actually T-Rex or in other words Tyrannosaurus Rex, or in other words a... dinosaurus, thus "dino". the story is about a baby dinosaurus who finds himself in the big city and... well... thanks a lot my friend for the appreciation, i will applaud back.

This is great written, but little confusing story. Following your previous works, I can relate with it and I dare to say I am very familiar with this kind of stories. People are mostly expecting to see everything like on the plate. In my opinion, we still have a brains and hearts (mostly of us)and this is a good way to make a "click"...
Sigmund Freud said: "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar." - I dare to say - Yes, but it is different to look at this cigar on your table or you are here to taste it. Even then - cigar is only cigar - but on different way.
This story also could be a part of crime or thriller. Good luck in this contest. I will try to enter, but, next to you I don't have a lot of chance.

First, it's well written, intriguing, shocking. But I feel like there is some thing here I need to know to truly appreciate this story. For example, "Damn' Dino" is obviously meant to be a clue and yet I haven't a clue. I have a feeling if I did you, it would make a good story even better!
