There once was a great flood upon the land. Many people died. A man and his dog were fortunate enough to be rescued from the rising waters. They were brought to a shelter, where they were given hot food to eat and warm blankets. The man didn't eat much. He sat up all night crying over his lost possessions and worrying about the future. The dog slept soundly at his master's feet with a full belly.2

Thanks for your comments. I was waiting to see if this story would make any sense to anyone, besides me. I am experimenting with short, very short tales, with lessons imbedded in them. This is the first one I've posted. I have six or seven so far.
I have been trying to look at things around me in a different way. I'm trying to find lessons in the dramas I see in peoples lives. It's something new in my awareness training.

Such a simple little tale, packed with such wisdom and I'm sure something we all can relate to. Isn't it strange that in the great scheme of every thing we all can relate to this error in judgment. As if it were meant to be
