My Evil Plans for: The Way it Goes

Alrighty, if you want to read my amazingly awesome story plan, you have come to the right place. I had many options, and I felt this was the best, so I picked it just for you. Here you go:1

Do you know the saying, everything happens for a reason? Well no matter if you believe in it or not, in my story, it does. Everything happens for a reason, and everything is connected through some sort of karma. 2

There is twist, of course. A middle-aged man, with the name of Brooks, discovers the average life he is living, and wants to find out why the events that take place in our lives happen the way they do.3

But when Brooks sets out on his amazing journey to do so, he is confronted by the people that make everything the way it is. Therefor finding his answer, but will that be enough to save his life, and possibly the world?4

A contest entry

Oooo mystical, should I write it?

I like the concept, but if you take this out to the bigger picture, everything indeed does happen for a reason, so these people he finds might be making him think they are leading to the world's destruction for their own reasons (I am reminded from a cartoon where a person peeked at a way to destroy evil, but being honorable they chose not to; good choice because the evil figure with him at the time had used the reversing mirror and if he had done what he had seen he would have destroyed good instead; Xiaolin Showdown was the reference). Or, they are simply pawns in a much larger game sort of a thing. Just thought I'd bring that up in case you had accidentally overlooked the implications of your own idea, sounds good but challenging!

    GREAT

This kind of reminds me of something Dan Brown-ish but perhaps with a much better plot and with much deeper and more hidden truths to be found. I wish you had written it already. Even though it's sounds like a hard write. Maybe this Brooks is kind of scientific or something and starts analyzing and mapping the seemingly casual events of life. Then when he starts breaking his own routines, trying to break the "code" or something, he's being contacted in some sort of way, by someone.
